It makes me really mad when MCU fans blatantly disrespect comic artists just from sheer ignorance. Like it's okay to not know something, but then don't pretend to be an expert and belittle an artist's design just because you don't know it's history. Iron Man Prime being the perfect example. Calling it a discount Infinity War suit, despite the fact that suit debuted in the comics THREE WHOLE YEARS BEFORE INFINITY WAR
27:05 this suit is a reference to the superior Iron Man story in which it’s revealed Tony made a artificial copy of his personality to protect his friends and it operated one of Tony’s old suits
I think actually it's Secret Empire; as I recall Superior Iron Man's AI Tony wore the full armour, including the helmet (a part of the arc was that intially his identity was a secret, which nesessitated the helmet) whereas the Blue holographic head on the headless armour was the look he had in Secret Empire, additionally the armour's weathering calls to mind his time in the resistance, where they basically were forced underground with minimal resources.
War Machine actually *did* continuously get new armors in the MCU. The Mark 1 WM armor was actually just the Iron Man Mark 2 with Justin Hammer tech strapped to it, and all that tech was removed in a tie-in comic leading up to Iron Man 3, in which he had the actual War Machine Mark 2, which was repainted into Iron Patriot for that movie, but he went back to his original grey/black colors by the time of Avengers: Age Of Ultron (Fun fact: The Mark 33 "Hot Rod" from Iron Man 3 is actually a prototype of the WM Mark 2 armor with the color scheme and flame decals of Tony's Hot Rod car on them). The WM Mark 3 appeared in Captain America: Civil War, but got taken out as its Arc Reactor was accidentally destroyed by Vision. The Mark 4 appeared during the entirety of Avengers: Infinity War's Wakanda Battle. While the Mark 5 does exist in-universe and concept art of it was made, it never appeared on-screen. The Mark 6 was the primary WM armor worn in Avengers: Endgame, and was destroyed by Thanos' bombardment on the New Avengers Facility, out its rubble Ant-Man retrieved and provided Rhodey with the heavily armored Mark 7, which returned the Iron Patriot color scheme (which was hidden in all the marketing leading up to the movie, as in TV spots, the armor had the classic grey/black colors and red eyes).
@@DankBlitzwing I think he meant more in the lines of Gizmo’s, sure he gets new armors, but they all have the base designs of his first one, they get stronger and have more weapons, but he isn’t getting nanotech.
1:57 wait a minute, is this a reference to Iron Lantern? For those who don’t know in the 90s, there was a very brief. Where the marvel reality called “Amalgam Comics”. In these books, the most iconic DC and Marvel characters were combined, so Green Lantern and Iron Man became one superhero called Iron Lantern. I could be wrong, but I think this might be a reference to that
@@comicfan1324 I don’t think it is. Iron Lantern had a green and gold/yellow color scheme whereas this has a green and gray/light silver color scheme going.
That's a reference to "Tony Stark" from Earth-11029 where Dr Doom stole starks body by exchanging his mind with his but making Stark think like he always was victor von doom and used the exact same colors for the armour
The Prime Armor is The Nanotech Suit on steroids! The Prime Armor can transform into Different modes like The Hulkbuster Mode,A Stealth Mode(It's in This Game)and a Samurai Mode(A Samurai Styled Iron Man Prime Armor with a Sword).
27:05 This Suit is based on a Time in the Comics where Tony was ether dead or in a Coma and Tony made a A.I Copy of himself and that A.I Tony piloted a old Iron Man Suit.
Prime Armor essential is his Endgame/Infinity War suit but even better in every single way. Can do what every single one of his other suits can at once and usually, instantly. Want a hulkbuster? Boom hulkbuster. Want that hulkbuster to be child size? Boom now it's kid sized. Need to hide the fact your wearing the suit? Boom suit is invisible while you still are.
13:21 That is the Foundation Avengers from Space Punisher. It's like if the Avengers were literally what their names were. So iron man was a cyborg thing.
Most of the suits are comics derived or adaptations of comics suits like the Ultimate suit is based on his suit from the Ultimates comics from 2005, Cold Iron is the suit where Tony was stuck on Svartalfheim, Nothing To Fear is from the Fear Itself comics where Tony doused his suit in molten Uru to fight Serpent and the Glacial suit is based on when Tony was sucked through time back to to the ice age
44:27 the thing is that after the events of Iron Man 2, Tony took back the Mark II and removed every feature that Hammertech installed into the suit, because he said, that it was a disgrace to his tech. Later on, Tony created the suits for Rhodey. The second version of Rhodey's suit is the same in both of Iron Man 3 and Avengers: Age of Ultron (Iron Patriot is just a recolor of the second War Machine suit). What I am saying is that Rhodey always got newer suits.
The cold Iron Suit is actually from the comics, and was a suit Tony wore. The nothing to fear suit is also from the comics, the Fear Itself event, which was a big asgaurdian focused even, so the resemblence to the Destroyer was intentional.
When I played Marvel’s Avengers I mostly played as Spider-Man, Iron Man, Hulk and Black Widow. The only Iron Man armors I liked in the game was just the MCU Iron Man armors, the War Machine armor and the more comic accurate armors, I mostly used the Mk 3 MCU Armor when I played as Iron Man. The “63” is a reference to 1963, the year Iron Man made his 1st appearance in Marvel Comics. I would have worn the Armor if they actually had the MCU Mark 6 Armor.
You were actually getting close to the ‘discount infinity war’ suit. I believe it was the first full nano tech suit that the mainline comic Tony Stark created, and definitely served as inspiration for infinity war and endgame. And funnily enough, you didn’t like how slim fit the mcu nano tech suits were, but this comic nano suits was even slimmer in comic.
The war machine armor was actually updated as time went on, we just don't see him very often, it just maintains the same bulky style build, you'll notice that Tony actually got his MK2 suit back after it was stolen in Ironman 2, he then built Rhodes a new more upgraded suit with better tech in age of Ultron and once again in civil war. it would then continue to be updated throughout the Infinity saga.
The War Machine Design has changed. The original one in the MCU was completely different. The Iron Patriot is a completely different suit then they added the War Machine colors. Then they updated it in Civil War and then pretty much the same until Endgame final battle.
Listen, I'm just going to say it. I think that if they made an avengers game with an open world like the Lego avengers games. This game would have performed a thousand times better. The ability to play as this many different characters, with an open world and an intra colliding story for all of them would be great. Brought into an open world playable game amongst multiple planets along with great boss fights. It would be amazing. I can see why they shut it down
16:12 OK part of me kind of likes this suit. I dig the neon aesthetic. They’re trying to go for. But I think it would’ve worked better if the lines were all red or all yellow. Both red and yellow makes it too busy. If they had to do both, the red and the yellow should’ve been sectioned off to specific areas of the suit (yellow on the arms, red on the lower and midsection, and the only area that features both colors is the mask)
star blast is mark 39 (space iron man), legatus is mark 30 (tazer/blue steel), prime armor is invincible iron man, centurion is mark 33 (silver centurion), and the nothing to fear is based off of the destroyer (guy from thor that loki sent to town)
42:53 this is my favorite suit but i don’t really like how it looks here. looks better in the movie. that’s my favorite and then the one from iron man 1
Man, I love the MCU Mark 2. I really don't know why, but I just really fcking love that thing. Was a very pleasant surprise when I found out it was in this game, wasn't enough for me to buy it, still just let it be unlocked through the definitive update, but I never took it off of Tony once I got it. Honestly I think the worst part of all of his suits is that none of them change the Hulkbuster, imagine how _metal_ it would look if the Destroyer aesthetic from Nothing to Fear carried over to it, that shit would look absolutely insane.
A lot of these suits are from the comics My favorite is Iron Man 3 armor. In the actual movies the IW/Nano suit was my favorite because of how it shapeshifted and allowed Iron Man to do a lot of cool stuff but just as a design it's up there but not my fav. I used to love the Solaris armor but going back it looks slightly off, still dig just not as much as I remember Also the Nothing to Fear armor is Iron Man basically making his own version of a pilot-able Destroyer Armor, not super familiar with the comics but I think he used to fight Bor Thor's asshole Grandfather
Iron Man seems to have been the luckiest when it came to skins Him and Black Panther and Cap in my opinion got the luckiest with alt skins which I’m glad cause ngl I think their default designs are absolutely horrible mainly Cap tho. But the alt iron man skins are really cool
Obligatory comment about how the Prime! Armor was actually created before the Infinity War/Endgame suits and actually inspired both suits (though the Bleeding Edge suit was the one that the Infinity War design borrowed it's design from) ALSO: The Centurion suit was one of the more "classic" Iron Man suits and inspired all of the other red and silver suits in the game and other media (including the Mark 5 in Iron Man 2)
I think it's because I viewed most of them as average. Not a whole lot of them stood out in the 5 or below sense. However, I also felt like I was experiencing a bit of burnout when looking at these suits, since there were so many of them and a lot of them were just recolors 😅
Will you do a playthrough of Wolverine X-Men origins playthrough? And maybe a ranking of the costumes? Perhaps. Please..? It would be perfect since there's a movie that just came out about him and the merc with the mouth!
While it was a good idea. To me the combat felt so off. Like with hulk he didn't feel like hulk. Absolutely no onf or power with his punches. Felt like punching wet sand.
37:30 This is not even the right Ultimate Iron Man suit. This actually comes from a comic called Ultimate Iron Man II (2007) that showcased the "Secret" origin of Tony Stark introducing ideas that just went against the Canon of the Ultimate Universe. The comic was then revealed to be a TV show within the Ultimate Universe where Tony sold off the rights for some studio to create a TV show around Iron Man with massive creative liberties. The Ultimate's comics revealed a few members watching the TV show and calling it awful. The actual Ultimate Iron Man suit was first used in Ultimates #1 (2002) and if you look up the cover of Ultimates #2 you'll see the Iron Man suit. This for many is the definitive look for Ultimate Iron Man. Not that awful monkey face looking suit that was from an awful comic that was retconned to be a TV show in universe.
I know it's not the best avengers game in existence but I think they shouldn't drop it completely from consoles. They could just let the players download it for free. I wanted to play it on the ps5 but I bought the console too late to play it.
They had to drop it due to the licensing. They legally can't sell the game without the license which is why Avengers, alongside the other Marvel games that have been delisted, aren't available on digital storefronts anymore. It's still fairly cheap to get a physical copy though!
