What a job Ray, but with Kevin nearby the job always gets done. Your work is art, you should get the Pulitzer Prize for it. Get well soon to your son-in-law and see you on the next video 💯👍🏻💯👍🏻💯👍🏻💯👍🏻💯👍🏻
That was a lot of hard work. What a beautiful job. You are very talented and must have a lot of satisfaction after seeing the final result. I just can't figure out how you keep the dust out in that environment. You make it look a lot easier than it is Ray. Love your channel and presentation.
My trucks are working trucks and i love them perfect but clean is way more important, after the first coat of paint i was impressed, i would have been tempted to leave a lot of small imperfections, i would never touch the back of the sleeper, cause my headache rack would hid it, it looks beautiful
Mark at Twin Sticks Garage just repainted his 359 Peterbilt "Montana sky blue." It turned out beautiful, too. Speaking of which, very nice job as well! I would have polished out the wheels, steps, and rear fenders myself. Nice 379 in the background, too.
I don't blame the Montana Rancher for driving all that way to have you do the paint and body. Wild job on the truck and it looks awesome in green with black stripes. It was interesting to see the difference between the Pacar and Freightliner hood construction. Your striping jobs are always straight and clean too.. Thanks Ray.
Good afternoon, Ray. There sure was a ton of repairs on that unit. Hope he's OK. U did a lovely job. Body and paint is exceptional. Customer will be pleased.
You sure got the extra mile And it really shows in your paint job That thing looks awesome. Good job, Bud. Sorry to hear about the other guy hope He is gonna be o k Every time I see your videos, man.I'm saying you look awesome. You should you should do a good jobEvery time I see your videos, Everything comes out Of your shop Sure looks awesome great job.
Followers make sure you’re still getting your notifications for Ray, mine was switched off 😡. I wasn’t sure about that color at first but it all came together, looks great as always!
It is amazing how when you do something, it automatically goes right to the way things are supposed to be done. Hence the saying "anything worth doing is worth doing well" but in your world you go the extra 7 miles in doing something. Excellent workmanship! What ever you get paid it should be more. Good job!
Now after seeing this, I want want to by an old truck and give it to this GUY to restore it. Amazing work, looks like that quality control cat is doing good job also.
Nice change, looks better than new with the custom stripe. I would like to see the customers response to the reveal, if possible. Keep up the great videos. Thanks
Shit Ray…. The amount of pain you blew off with your pressure washer was unbelievable… keep up the good work enjoy watching you from Melbourne Australia we need more truck painters like your self keep up the brilliant work cheers brother 👌👍
It’s a nice green, looks a 100% better than the FB photos made it look… Very nice bit of gear… Thank your luck stars that your son in-law only broke his wrist, a fall from there on his head could have been the end of him…. Very lucky lad..
Every video I watch, I'm just blown away by the end product. If I had a vehicle that needed body work, I'd make the drive to you from Canada. Very impressive
Ray mate i know ive told you before but,man the transformation of that truck from arrival to finish is mind blowing, seems a shame to put it back on dirt roads😢😢😢 How long does a job like this actually take you,im guessing 7 to 10 days or more ,and its clear your customers are more interested in keeping their old trucks going rather than buy new ones, Have good week mate ,shout out to your son inlaw hope hems feeling better Kym Adelaide
Hey Kym, thanks a lot! This one took me almost three weeks, but it's all worth it in the end. You're absolutely right, most of my customers are just as loyal to their trucks as I am.
I really like the color combo. Do you polish out the metal finishes? And, do you polish out the paint wirh wax or compound of some sort. Glad to see how much pride u take in your work.
TS, congrats on doing a awesome paint and body job on the 92 FLD 120 Truck. looks cool. surprize that somebody didn't shineup the tires. gave the owner that job? The strips just set it off better. have a case of beer on me Mate..
What a project Ray. As always, it came out great. Not exactly my favorite color of green, but I started warming up to it and it's different. I like the stripe layout. I hope your son in law (?) heals up quick. That's a hard hit. He's lucky his wrist took the hit instead of his head. I've had a couple hard falls over the years but other than a 5 inch scar across the top of my head that has been there for over 30 years, I've been lucky. I wasn't real smart before that happened, so I guess it wasn't so bad...
The hardest hits I've taken have also been to my head. Of course...I was an undefeated mma fighter (amatuer, not pro) for a full decade. Thanks a lot, Mike!

Well I certainly appreciate all your positive input, Paul!
I like how you explain everything that even us that have never done that kind of work can understand.

Thanks, Glenn! No need for polishing anything that leaves my shop. Except for maybe aluminum from time to time. We don't polish even that
Great work again. May I suggest before and after pics at the end of your videos?
Thanks for sharing.
Good idea, David...I might just do that. Thanks!
I've been following your Facebook page, I really enjoy how you document your projects with lots of pictures, a true pro!
I sure appreciate that, my friend!
Once again, very nice work, beautiful job man. Good looking FLD.
Thanks a ton, Jon!
I thought you were doing dustless blasting at first. Crazy how easy that white paint came off.
A lot of the FLDs will do the same thing on the body. Hoods seem to hold their paint much better.
Great job as an fld owner it was nice seeing this project. The stripe looks great. Mine is light blue day cab.
Awesome...Thanks, my friend! If you drop by on FB, Shoot me a pic of it sometime!
TS, congrats on doing a awesome paint and body job on the 92 FLD 120 Truck. looks cool. surprize that somebody didn't shineup the tires. gave the owner that job?
The strips just set it off better. have a case of beer on me Mate..
Thanks a lot, Billy! I doubt the owner is interested in polished tires. It's going straight back to the hard life of a Montana ranch truck, after all
Nice job as always 👍👍👍
Thank you very much, Jose!
Thank goodness that truck didn’t go by the streak’n bec’n, that paint never stood a chance
Ha! It was about as weak as paint jobs get, I'd say
Incredible great detail
Well thank you very much, Earl!
What a great job .it looks great
well thanks a lot, Donald!
That is an awesome paint job!
Well thanks a lot, David!
Mr Ray 😊
Thanks, my friend!
Amazing transformation. Outstanding job as usual..........How many man/women hours go into a job like that?
Not sure on the actual hours since we kind of free flow around here...but it took almost 3 weeks of steady work. Thanks. Andy!
Sorry to hear about your son in law. That paint color combo & striping turned out nice !! 👍
Do you use an adhesion promoter on the frame ?
I certainly appreciate that, my friend! Thanks a lot! No...I use epoxy primer. Theres no better adhesion promoter than sandblasting after all.
Another great job 💯
Hey thanks, Ron!
Looks awesome Ray!
Thanks a bunch, Allen!
Nice project and awesome colors
Thanks a ton, Dale! Say hi to Nancy for me

Great job on the truck.
Thank you very much, Robert!
Awesome job buddy 👏 I sure appreciate the way you do your work wish I could have you do mind.god bless and I hope your sons rist gets better!
Well Thanks a ton, Pedro!
My 2003 freightliner argosy has paint coming off mainly from the wings up the top near the stacks from heat which happens on most of them

Great job👌🏼👌🏼
Thanks a lot, Randy!
Looks like it needs a set of steps on the bottom of the battery box..
Could probably use a set there
Wow … was that truck painted with a roller before you got it? That’s wild
It might have been a little more consistent if it had I think!
Hiya Ray thats looks great what make of primer and top coat do you use many thanks Andy
Thanks, Andy! I use PPG EXP series epoxy primers...PPG HBE series sanding primers...and PPG AUE 360 2K urethane
Many thanks for that Ray ill see if that paint is available in the uk.
Great work! What is that green called? Code?
Awesome work Ray!!!
What does a job like that total out at.
This one was 21 grand...but FLDs are about the most expensive trucks we do because of all their cosmetic flaws and bad tendencies. Sleeper trucks typically go for the 15 to 18 range
Thanks a lot!
Good job right there,Rough Estimate pliz I have Fld 96 high roof planning to do the same and how long does it take to complete?
U dont clear coat it?
I use a double tough and durable 2K urethane...which doesn't require a clear coat. It will also outperform almost any clear coat as well.
What's a ball park figure for the price on that?
This one was 21 grand. FLDs cost more to get done in my shop than any other type of truck because of their flaws and tendencies. Most sleeper trucks go for closer to 15 to 18.
@teams.t.e.a.m6214 I know mine is not nearly as bad as that one body wise but I got 07 Western Star Lowmax and local shop quoted almost 30k.
Some shops have a lot of nerve...especially with as low of quality as you see more often than not.
I just realized by watching the video again, the rear wheels are steel. At first, I thought they were dirty aluminum one's.
Yeah...they had to be painted some color...might as well be black
You need to put tyre shine on the tyres to Finnish off this restoration.
It's headed right back to ranch work when it leaves here...so I don't imagine they'll care much about that. Thanks!

Glow plugs dont require a dry environment.
That is a huge difference.
From ugly to beautiful
Thank you so much, Steven!
