Nice review, thanks! I’ve seen a couple of Astro reviews which show that the 28 art is quite a bit better for stars (than the 24 art) and it’s weather sealed.
Recently bought this lens in 2023 and WOW its awesome. Yeah its huge but in the end I care about optical quality. If I feel week and want to travel, then I will get a kit lens.
hello I have a question I am going to buy sony r7iii, want buy Sigma Lans whether you choose 28 mm or maybe 35mm because there is a large difference in price. is the focus strongly different?
Nice looking vid. I was in the same boat. Because I shoot as much video as photos, I got the 40 recently (wonderful) to do both and now am getting the 28 as a lot of cinematographers have used this fl a lot. They are both stellar so will probably let the 50 and 35 go as the former pair are better optically and the fls suits my video/ photo needs. Thanks for confirmation (of sorts).
Hi there, focus breathing on this lens is negligible and nearly impossible to notice. It is present but at such a degree that you should know that it is there, but not significant if you're using this lens for video or any kind of focus stacking for landscapes.
Sorry for the delay in responding! I'm not sure where this came from, but we just tried it out in shop and you can absolutely use the included lens hood with filters on the Sigma 28mm f/1.4.
@@AntonisKelaidis Just watched it, very interesting! Maybe Sigma did a redesign on the hood? The one that was tested in our shop had no issue with a UV filter and then mounting the lens hood.
28 + 40mm all day! 💪🏻

Hi are you using this on a mirrorless system or dslr? I'm asking because i've heard that this has autofocusing issues with phase-detect AF.
Hi Spencer! Ever had the chance to compare this lens to the Nikon AF-S 28/1.4 E?
Good review.

Hi, I'm wondering how is focus breathing of this lens. Could you share your experience about it please ? Regards

Is that true that it is not possible to use filters (like a slim uv) simultaneously with the hood on sigma 28 1.4?? Thnx in advance
