    I have never seen anyone remove the hard outer layer like that, leaving only teh coconut meat. That is brilliant.

    Coconut water is excellent for rehydration in very hot weather or when working hard. It's full of electrolytes.

    The one fact I know about coconut water is - it is the only natural fluid that can be used direct from the nut as IV fluid therapy.

    On a trip to the southern coast of Mexico, my wife and I bought a coconut at a street vendor. He held it in one hand and with a machete he whacked the top off, leaving a hole for a straw.
    I was impressed.

    Dr Tahir is right on this one I use Coconut oil Moisturizer everyday it works amazing you can see in my pfp. Thanks for the medical advice Doctor!

    It's been about 20 years since I last ate fresh coconut, they're harder to get where I am now compared to back then. I really want to track one down now!!

    My dad occasionally brought home a whole coconut as a treat.He had to use power tools to get into it.

      A hammer or hard surface can just be used to crack/break the shell and a small knife can be used to remove the meat. That's how many people from the Caribbean do it. I must admit the way that gentleman did it was new and unique to me.

    Hey TPT. Yes, coconut water is good for you but in moderation, because it's like a laxative (it helps loosen things up in the gut). Keep those delicious food, drink, and dessert videos coming.

      Hi, just wanted to let you know that Pakistani Punjabis can't read the gurmukhi script of punjabi. Punjabi is rarely written here and even if we write it, we use the Urdu script

    Coconuts are the original super-food. It gives you water, coconut milk, flesh for cooking that can be dessicated, oil etc etc. So many uses and very healthy!

    Dump the meat & water into a blender with a lime and a handful of ice. Get a spoon, a straw and watch grass-skirted people on tropical beaches. Or worse... add some evaporated milk... blend it more..

    Just FYI: a coconut's water has negligible nutrients. At best maybe 10% of your daily potassium needs. Just FYI. Also eating even half a coconut will give you the runs!

      Just FYI: coconut water is full of electrolytes. Yes it has potassium but also magnesium, calcium and others.

    Dear Brother Tahir is usually more right than wrong with his advice but in this case, no. Coconut is not good for cardiac patients-far too much saturated fat. Not criticizing-I love him to bits. Just a PSA for the comment section.
