    Wow, Gina! I just discovered this necklace, and it is gorgeous! I can't wait to give it a try. Your directions are at exactly the right pace, as always, and so easy to follow. I'm so glad you stress how important it is that we reinforce our jewelry. I see other videos where they don't even reinforce crystals and where they cut right next to knots. You teach such good habits! Thanks so much!

      I agree too! I am constantly consumed by creative processes, and I'm always thinking about how to make the next project even better and more dazzling than the last ... And the results are so worth the effort.
      But I think only bead-weavers really understand other bead-weavers. Have a great day beading, ladies!!

    Hello Gina, I havent been beading in over 2 years- just busy with other things. Finally last night I sat down looking for something to make. Started watching the video and for me personally I like silver by my face. Dark necklaces dont work for me. Well, I was lucky enough to catch a glimpse of your "practice" one- just stunning I must say. Started beading it and 5 hours later started the second one. Just couldnt put it down! I really needed that. Easy enough to keep my hands busy yet let my mind relax. I know you posted this 6 months ago but I really appreciate it! Stay safe its nuts out there.

But I always come clean and tell them: The Craftsmanship is mine, But the Design solely belongs to Gina Of Gina Gems Creations... They shake their heads and say " Oh.. Very Nice ". I have got to change my picture.. I am now a Lot Older, Lol and getting more wiser by the day. Just want to say Thanks again for what you do ! You know yourself how great it feels when someone says, "Oh, I love your necklace", and you can reply with, "Thanks - I made this myself" ... and they look at you as if to say, "Liar!" LOL! In fact some of my Mum's friends don't believe that I made her three 'special' necklaces, particularly the beaded Cabochon Gemstone necklace ... it's so gorgeous. It turned out beautifully, Gina!! I used a random mix of Green Iris seed beads with Emerald Green Silver Lined seed beads which looked soooo good together as I made my 'V' .. I just LOVE working with intricately woven seed beads (Double St Petersburg is one of my faves!), and then I embellished it with one colour of Crystals called 'Celadon' .. it's a gorgeous Preciosa crystal, usually described as 'colorized green' (it also comes in 'colorized blue') and it's just stunning on the Green Iris/Emerald background. I have a LOTS of them in every size and shape including the 25mm Briolettes for the centre drop as well as for marching earrings and so I modified the necklace design to show off the same colour Rondelles in various sizes with 4mm and 6mm Bicones .. mine only has 1 strand but it's sooooo pretty! I'm wearing it this Saturday to my niece's Wedding with a long formal v-necked gown in Emerald Green ... I can't wait! I also did a gorgeous triple-width 'Hugs n Kisses bracelet' in matching Crystal Rondelles and seed beads ... lots of work that will pay off in pefectly matched accessories. Thank you so much for providing all of the inspiration for my outfit!!! I even added some Crystal Briolettes in 2 sizes with seed beads to make a butterfly on my satin clutch purse .. perfect : )

    Hi Gina, well this is simply stunning! I don't remember you doing the square stitch before. It's something new and exciting to try. I reiterate again, you have such a lovely and creative mind. Am I correct that the square stitch is basically a modified ladder stitch? That was kind of what I could relate it to in my mind since you are at times going from one side straight across to the other side. Irregardless, it's a glorious piece. You are simply amazing. Thank you. Cheers from Greenwood. Barb

    • @GinasGemCreations
      @GinasGemCreations  5 лет назад +1

      B Wagner hello, my friend, yes the square stitch is very similar to ladder, but I like it better for some designs because it lays neater and is stronger. I have known of this stitch for quite some time, but I really never used it much until I design the bracelet I last posted. I was trying to use ladder stitch and it wasn’t working, so I switched to square stitch and it worked great, then I was hooked on it. So I am going to use it more often😁

    I love this pattern and have already made a necklace following your instructions exactly. It's beautiful! Now I'm going to try using 3mm fire polish instead of bicones. I see no reason why they won't serve as a perfect substitute. I'll let you know how it turns out.

    • @katielyb
      @katielyb 5 лет назад

      Well, the 3mm fire polish beads do fit well as they're the same height as the 4mm bicones. However, they do create a significantly different look than the bicones. I'm still undecided as to whether I like the look but I've no doubt some will and some won't. I wish I could share a photo but all I can do is say that they will work with this design. Thanks again to the designer 😊
