Its the second time this year where saras wins the tactical game against bartzokas. Also ataman disabled oly at the greek derby for the the greek League. So i think saras did his scouting on oly by watching the greek Derby.
Nobody can solve Olympiacos. A team that gets 74 ft’s in last 2 games doesn’t need to be solved, it needs to be analyzed. Not by opponents. By the organization. What relations do they have with the refs. If the organization is not in this game together
He exposed olympiakos weaknesses for sure! The question is...how many matches can fener against olympiakos play so tactical good! Cause this performance is almost unmistakable!!
He has solved him for sure but he hasn't solved the referres yet just like the rest of the league. 37 - 13 free throws, 4-24 against Monaco, 43 against Paris and zalgiris and the list goes on and on. If you don't write these truths your analysis doesn't really matter
The only solution against Olympiakos is provided by Bartzokas himself, when he is playing Papanikolaou for more than 5 minutes. It is shameful that a player on his current level is even stepping on the court, not to mention how bad it gets when he plays for 20 minutes like he did with Fener. He has multiple games this year where he plays for 10-15 minutes in the first half and doesn't score a point or get an assist. While this always happens and Olympiakos is behind, Bartzokas tends not to play him at all in the second half (e.g. against Baskonia) and that is when the team makes a comeback. It is time for him to retire. With a respectful small forward, especially in past years, Olympiakos would have won 2-3 more Euroleagues. P.S. Please if you are about to give me the "bUt hE pLaYs dEfEnSe" bullshit, go watch the semifinal from last year against Real, where Hezonia scores 12 points on him in the first quarter and the game basically is already lost.
mate Hezonia is Hezonia, when he is in the zone he is gonna score on you no matter who you are. Also, commmmon, Papanikolaou is not the reason that Oly lost the Euroleague in the last 3 years, you are being too harsh on him. Ofc he is way past his peak, but he was a positive contribution in the previous three seasons. But I'll have to agree on one thing... this season he shouldn't be on the court for more than 5-10 mins!!
No Walkup, No Mc Kissic, Terrible Fournier, and two centers that were unable to score for some reason. Jasikevicius didn't solve anything, Oly just had a bad game and Fener was clearly better.
You don't have to be very smart to figure out Olympiakos. They play with 2 classic, slow footed centers who are terrible at perimeter defense. As far as I know, Walkup, who is the best guard defender, didn't play in the Fenerbahçe match anyway. Fourneir is a player who stands out in the offensive part of the game, even though he is physically big. It wouldn't be right to expect him to spend all his effort on defense. When this is the case, all the responsibility in defense falls on Vezenkov and Goss. Vezenkov is one of the two players who can score on this team, along with Fourneir. He is not an athlete according to his position. Vezenkov is a player who tries to score or makes assists with less dribbling when possible. It would be unrealistic to expect him to make an extra contribution in defense. Goss, on the other hand, is played only to put pressure on the opposing guards in the front area. He has almost no threat in offense. Saras was aware of this and played with two big men who knew how to play P&P and were an outside shooting threat. (Sertaç, Melli) I think these two guys played their most productive game of the season against Olympiakos. No matter how big Milutinov and Fall are, their area of influence is limited to the painted area. Saras put Khem Birch in the game for 2 minutes in this game and when he saw that this would cost him the game, he took Birth out of the game and never put him in the game again. It is wrong to describe Olympiakos as solving it. There are very few teams in this league that can attack Olympiakos' weaknesses. For example, if this Olympiakos squad played a game with any NBA team, it is very likely that they would lose by a historic margin. In modern basketball, you can keep centers like Milutinov and Fall on the court for 10 minutes at most. Neither Milutinov nor Fall will get much playing time when the American center, whose name I forget, returns from injury. He doesn't have an outside shooting threat either, but he has quicker feet and is a more athletic player.
Saras had to be creative with a short squad. Great team to watch
Georgios Bartzokas’ mastermind: To be as angry as he can while losing.

Saras is not so famous on being effective against Olympiakos. On the contrary bartzokas is difficult match for Sara’s.

I agree fener exposed weakness of olympiakos but at the same time olympiakos had a very bad performance especially on the defensive side.
Can we get one video about Partizan?
sure! 🫡

Until the half of 3rd period free throws was 26 to 1 for benefit of oly.Fener still dominated the game no matter what.
Very analytical basketball thoughts by your side. Well done for the knowledge that you spread!!! Hahaha
How have you learned to analyze basketball film?
Totally self-taught! I just keep rewatching games, reading, and checking out stuff online.
@BasketHead So you have no resources or websites that I can check to learn?
