This was beyond fantastic!! I enjoy the realities of seeing the good, the bad, the ugly, and the beautiful! Thanks for sharing the awesome truth of your journey, and congratulations on completing it 🎉🎉🎉
This is one of the best videos I've ever seen! I teared up a bit near the end. It's incredible what you put yourself through, all the while maintaining your sense of humor, fighting spirit and eloquently narrating your journey. Your video deserves hundreds of millions of views, so I feel lucky just stumbling upon it. I'm glad you didn't have to use the BearKiller 2000!
Sweet dude! You went for it. I’m piecing my finishing touches to my bike packing gear. I’m in L.A. Looking at similar routes. You did a long one! Epic!
Excellent video and thank you for sharing your journey. Wow you swear even more than me, love it@! You changed so much along the way. Was it the broken rack that eventually helped you be in the moment, more present. I love when you said, I think it was when you were pushing up bike up yet another tough mountain road, " that this really sucks and none of us like to admit that sometime the things we do really suck." Very true. For me, when it comes to adventure and I'm a cycle junkie, often in the moment I feel such things but never when it's done . Then I looked back and think, holy shit I did that." Bravo 👏
Are you like a Navy Seal dropout or something? My God man you're tough as hell and Beautiful as well. Whatever you face in this life I know you can kick it's ass.🔥 Dang Cuz 💪😎🇺🇸
hope you enjoyed your time in portland wish i had caught this when you were here i live right downtown would have loved to have coffee and chat about your experiances. p.s. just for future referance forest park is no camping just be careful not to get caught.
Great video!! I've finally found someone else who likes Duracell sauce!!! I put that sh** on Everything!!! 🤣🤣 I've gotten nine flats in one day!! f****** goat heads in New Mexico, riding route 66!! 🌎🚴 🤘
I've seen them! Deer are chill, they just eat grass. Most wild animals are pretty calm honestly, but I have had to yell a few bears away. I made sure to put my food in bear boxes whenever they were available or at least just keep it outside my tent
$38.30 per day is pretty much (especially when you often slept in the tent).. how much did you spend for a food ? Second question. Do you plan another trip like this ? thx for your answer
It is, but it also factors in occasional large purchases like bike fixes. Keep in mind I'm not paying rent as well here. I have another cross country travel video I'm working on, but not by bike
Gppro have wide screen work great i think you just had setting wrong .. WAS THINKING AT THE END OF YOUR TRIP YOU MUST BEEN GOING CRAZY TO SEE IT WAS SET FOR PAL AND NOT 16:9 selected.
Helmet camera mounts are safe. and just two words for bears: "bear spray" Also, if you put sleigh bells on the bike bears don't like the sound.. Bears attack when you startle them or get between momma and her babies.. Bells alert the mom to get her cubs to a safe area before you have a chance to sneak between them.
This was a really cool video! I think if u re-edit this video with less complaining or muted those parts, I think you would have had at least 100k subscribers by now! Overall great dedication!
"We have to appreciate this gift that we have.." let me ask, who gave you that amazing gift of life..? And why are you still alive and on this amazing tour..?
I bet a dude from Canada is pretty shocked that we (here in the USA) can fly whatever flag we like. We have the right to free speech too. Very different up north with your dictator, Trudeau.
@@sailingaeolus nope, I’m an American. I’ve also lived all over the states so I’m aware there are people with redneck ideology all over. It’s just ironic to see that flag outside of the south. You absolutely have the right to fly that flag, however we have a right to assume you’re uneducated and socially ignorant.
@@sailingaeolus nope I’m from America so I know when most Americans see that flag what they immediately think about the person flying it. It’s also rare to see it along the west coast.
@@odium3510 Good for you, friend. I'm glad you found many like minded folks. I've seen recent video of that utopia San Francisco. Sounds like you'd be a good fit for Canada, too.
Nice scenic video. I liked watching your adventures, however...I do have one grind against you. For not believing in the afterlife, as you previously stated in the beginning of this video. You sure like to use Jesus Christ and God as a sware word a lot. A passive aggressive type of person I suppose. Your video, but just thought you should be aware of this hypocrisy. Not trying to start any confrontation, but Jesus Christ is not a fairytale. He is Lord God Almighty. Whether you choose to disagree or not, it doesn't change anything. I realize that by me mentioning this, it will cause much retaliatory comments towards me. That isn't my purpose, truly. But there's one of the proofs, IF Jesus Christ wasn't true, people wouldn't have such a strong response regarding mentioning His name. Anyway...I did appreciate your tour, I too have done a couple of tours on my recumbent trike. The struggles that you had on your tour will be remembered by you for a lifetime; even though in those moments were absolutely aggravating. P.S. what type of tires were you running on? Marathon Plus tires are absolutely the best for touring. Curious, how much money did this whole tour cost: food, repairs and new replacements, camping stays/hotels, etc.??? Nice ending commentary summarizing your trip.
Epic journey dude. This channel is seriously underrated

Absolutely criminal how under viewed this content is

Planning on doing this next month! I like your route rather than the coast. What route did you take?!
Beautiful
Salted corn on the cobb with melted butter is heaven on earth im pretty sure.
What about the bears and deers in the forest?

Go bike 60 miles a day for 3 months and then tell me how it feels lol
The scraps of the road --the shoulder if any-- go to the cyclist. This thought kept me from nice adventures. 👀

No grizzly bears in Western Washington, almost none in the whole state -- this guy lost credibility in the first minute. Great adventure though.
North Cascades National Park, that's ok, I wouldn't expect you to have heard of it
@@blankface_ I've been there many times. Just pointing out that grizzly bears aren't anything to worry about, they're nearly extinct in Washington.

Hey man, I was a hardcoreChristian for half my life, now I'm not; not trying to offend. I just used stock tires and whatever cheap stuff I could get
Full cost including bike, flights, everything was around 6k: 3k for gear and 3k on the road. Could've been less but I was on a 4000 calorie diet
32:15, that's what she said 😱
