    Mam ,due to dehydration our resting saliva flow,i.e not stimulated by chewing ,,,,decreases and Futher increase after water intake.hence total unstimulaed saliva flow vary according to body condition.unstimulated saliva flow rate is normally 0.5ml per minute

    • @PhysiologyOpen
      @PhysiologyOpen  3 года назад

      yes, thats the unstimulated flow rate. Yes this change is noticeable. You can even tell that from your daya to day life itself

    Hi are stretch injuries of nerves do they regenerate i have stretched a nerve and i feel numbness now. Do nerves that are stretched do they tear open or are nerves strong.

    • @PhysiologyOpen
      @PhysiologyOpen  6 месяцев назад

      Depends on the extend…minor stretches will recover

    What happens to the area where the nerve grows? Does normal sensation return partially or does regeneration have to be complete as the nerve grows?

    • @PhysiologyOpen
      @PhysiologyOpen  Год назад +1

      Yes sensation may return. It depends on the severity of nerve injury
