- Safety 5th. Will this save you time? Money? And a trip in an ambulance? Enjoy this knucklebiting journey while I try and fail to put something on something else. Again.
Great video. I loved the way you took us through the entire setup. It reminds me of me every time I get a new tool that has to be adjusted. It usually takes me 3 times longer to do the setup than to do the work. Anyway, well done. Loved the disappearing act at the end. Bravo!
Great video. You actually show the thing in use which is good to see. I'm not really bothered about just an unboxing which is what others show. Cheers, will get one and give it a go.
You have the patience of Job!
Excellent video. After quite some mucking around you got the machine working well. Running backwards. From the top, if you had to go up to the ceiling you cannot reach the top as the attachment gets in the way.
After mounting the cover on the right side, with the grinder on the left, you can cut forward. We then have a circular saw. It is best if the grinder has a switch on the top of the body because some have on the left.
Adjusting the depth is good for mortar raking when doing re pointing , can control the depth to make sure your getting a good key for new mortar
Are you working your grinder towards yourself though as per the video .
Anyway thanks for unboxing review
That grinder is fitted on the wrong way, and should be at the rear opposite the height adjustment knob on the left hand side facing towards the direction marker.
Whilst the dust extraction is leaning to the right hand side.
Using the spacer is on the instructions, as it keeps the blade centrally to the dust cover.
And you push it forward to contain dust and cut, whereas to the rear is forcing that blade into opposite cutting and burning it out, just like a circular saw would if you went back instead of forward!
Think you need to make another video, as this is shit advice on an item that has worked well for me over the past couple of years, and I've upgraded it now to an aidelife cover which is more plastic but better still.
Will it work on milwaukee
Hi there, thanks for posting your tool vids - I was looking at this shroud, have you seen the Max Vac shroud? It took me a bit to get my head round it but I feel its a bit more flexible / visible. Good luck. S
I couldn't get the shroud on my grinders the correct way round . Consequently cant use it to grind out mortar perps and bed joints
Lol wrong position
My old stores supervisor would go daft with you cutting towards yourself like that. He'd have you polishing pebbles for the rest of the shift.
I totally agree with you. I felt uncomfortable using it that way, you can't fit it the other way around. The instructions clearly tell you to put it that way. In other words, garbage tool.
@@littlemilto6563 Perhaps it's the grinder you're mounting it too. I cannot imagine it working that way for all grinders
What was the max cutting depth? And will it fit the standard 18v xr grinder?
I would like to know this answer aswell :-)
Hmmm... are you able to rotate the tool 180 and push it instead of pull? Much safer and the sight would work out.
That's how I use it, works much betta 💩💩
Used it on left facing front with extraction towards the right, have had no problem over a couple of years. Just upgraded to an aidelife cover, and that's even more plastic but does better dust containment
Le mieux est de lire la notice.
The manual is shite.
