- Hello and welcome to a quick mission of Space Hulk Vengeance of the Blood Angels, an old tactical FPS in the Warhammer 40K setting.
In this mission, Marine Akhad is tasked with locating and eliminating a Genestealer Magus located within a Space Hulk.

Once a month, when I had enough money, my mum would go in town to do the shopping and I'd give her my money and ask her to pick up a game. Wanted this real bad on the PC. Soon as mum got home I tore the cellophane off and opened the box and got the CD into my PC right quick and fired up Win95 on my 60mhz Pentium lol. Was the school summer holidays. Couldn't tell you if the weather was good as I was playing this lol. Got me into 40k big time. Started collecting chaos. Still big into it at 40.
I got into 40k around 2016, looked around for 40k games to play and eventually discovered this. Never got to play until 2018 when my ex fiance and I went to a game store, didn't pay a lot for it, but sure got my money's worth.
I'm going to show this to my D.M as support for my argument that robes of AC are overpowered.
If I took a fraction of the bolter rounds in this game that the Magus got, I'd be a goner even with Terminator Armor. lol
@@HereticHarry Can you imagine how epic the Golden Age of Technology was for the imperium? From what I understand, terminator armor as it's now known was originally the design for hazmat suits that regular field workers labored in. They would cut down a tree with a chain-fist, grab the log, teleport back to the wood pile and drop it off etc. Capability to work underwater or in a vacuum and shielding in case of a cave in or fire or other accidents.
All they do in the current setting to make it Terminator armor is give the user weapons rather than tools.

@@dukenukem4447 nope, at first they made the "hazmat" suits and then they started to refine the design to fit combat.
So more like yes and no :D
I still want to play this, unfortunately my main memory was of it crashing so often i had to save after every turn.
I'd recommend playing the 3Do port on an emulator, runs pretty smooth and I've only experienced crashes under specific circumstances.
i always found the missions with chaos marines impossible
Yeah they took so much to kill!!! I unloaded the assault cannon into one once. Plus, on levels where Chaos was lurking, the motion tracker wouldn't work.

I miss this game. I have windows 11 and I have the old scratched-up CDs for this game for Win 95/98. Is getting the 3Do port/emulator set up straightforward?
I don't recall their being any difficulties running this on 3DO, the Playstation 1 port I remember being pretty easy as well on an emulator.
@@HereticHarry ok thanks. My nostalgia was from the pc version, so not sure if there's anything different about the ps version
@@kochampion7 As far as the PS1 version goes, different UI/ Radar, audio is a bit crispier, it's generally easier than the other versions.
I hear the Sega version is close to the PS1 as well.
