You need to do a proper feature about this class of loco Ruairidh. All of your other recent stuff is very informative. An indulgence, particularly, into the class 37, would be so greatly appreciated!!
I keep feeling that Network Rail are hesitating on electrification is a very bad thing. Ethiopia are building a 100% electric railway from scratch. Ethiopia signals the future.
...and they are damming the Nile to provide the electricity for it. Just ask any Egyptian if they agree with that. I think it's wonderful but they need to keep releasing enough water to keep Egypt and Sudan happy.
I love the look and menacing sound of a class 37, that is totally different to a class 47. But they can't go on forever built in the early 1960s. The modern class 66 is boring to look at and the sound is nothing exciting but that is the way forward. Then there is the smaller class 31s that are almost extinct that have a less powerful growl than the 37s.
Not exactly instantly, but the Peaks have taller noses, more square windows, and have a thicker piece between the side windows. Whistlers, are basically a carbon copy of the 37, but just longer body...
Their roots can certainly be traced back quite a way! Thanks for commenting :D

They certainly are fantastic pieces of kit :D
Some great locations, with the best British locomotive ever built. Great video.

Nice work on the 37's! I have seen loads but few run.
As far as I can see these are the original EE Diesels built in 1947 for the LMS. What a Trailblazer Class!
Hey R M those old deltics have a sound all of their own!
Well put together my friend
I didn't see a single Deltic Class 55 in this video. Where are they?
Thank you :D

Only one thing better than a 37. That's a 40!
Yo! Brits got good taste. I'd love to see the 37-series tractor, but I am in a forging America. What should I forging do?

Not if parked in a line of 45s, 46s and 40s...
