This ownership in transfer windows make mistakes on a signing and overcompensate on the next one. Happened with Caicedo after not getting Ugarte, Fofana after not getting Kounde etc
@@barry4649 the thing is when he did sign guys like Caicedo over ugarte and Fofana over kounde we saw them guys had already had PL quality at a young age and had potential. But some of these young replacement signings haven’t got the body of work they had. Even though the guys we did sign like Renato and Guiu have shown good things for their club or development team, it has been either at a way lower level league or didn’t show the same promise Caicedo and Fofana have shown. I’m just worried that Chelsea won’t show no more balls in trying to sign high level proven players and will just look for 18 yro’s who won’t reject 50k a week

I genuinely do not think that Chelsea needs to sign anyone else right now. We need to see who we are letting go of first, then we would better see what the squad needs. Remember we have a lot of versatility in the squad. There is Nkunku, Mudryk and Sterling on the left wing as well as we did see KDH play left wing for Leicester last season. We could even play Nicolas Jackson over there and go with either Nkunku or Guiu down the middle.

Everyone you mentioned hitting the ground running is on the right side for Poch. Mudryk was complete isolated with zero support last season and still had about 5 assists robbed from him due to finishing. Newcastle goal was arguably one of the most important goal for us last season. I genuinely don't get it. This season will be the real test under a real manager. He fails this year, I'll get jaded with him. But don't get how so many are already.
I completely agree and my thing is he might not reach the heights we expect but there's a very good player there he needs game time not this one game every 2 months thing

You mean why Nico Williams would muck up our economy, probably ensure a points deduction for PSR violations, and completely mess up the development of Estevao and Paez.
Reality is, we don't need more attacking players. We have Palmer, Nkunku, Jackson, Guiu, Sterling, Mudryk, Madueke, KDH, Chukwuemeka, we have a bunch of talents, and we're getting Estevao and Paez next year. And while selling Mudryk and Sterling might sound nice, there's not much hope of finding a buyer for them.
Also, Nkunku isn't an outside player, he's an inside player. He's reasonably fast but he's not a dribbler or particularly good 1v1. The idea that he's an option for LW while Nico Williams is the template of what LW should be is... Odd. Jackson is a better LW for that sort of thing, and given that Leicester used Vardy as a striker last season, I don't think Nkunku would necessarily be a bad choice of striker for us.

Maybe we do need Sterling as a "Sporadic player" to keep the the structure behind the young rotational young talent we are recruiting. That way we guarantee them game time whilst also utilizing Sterling's consistent inconsistency when we need it. However, we do need to seriously reconsider his wages at the club because 300k is not reflective of his role at the club.

Idk where Nkunku is going to fit but he has to start.
Everytime he plays he looks so composed and mature in his decisions and looks so clinical!
He played about 400min and scored 3 times and let's not forget that in Bundesliga he was scoring for fun but most importantly he had loads of assists!

Look at the goals he scored in the limited time he had plus having so little chemistry with the team.
He scored that header in a poor team performance against Wolves,that solo against Liverpool toying with VVD and Konate and the one against Brighton which he played a major role moving the action from a crowded left hand side to the right then sneaking behind the defence.
His football IQ,experience and finishing will be very important for us!
