Ok, I just listened to "Policeman " and couldn't comment on that thread but I'm officially your newest raving fan now. You play like my folks. Even included the sitting on a log, finger on, you know! That's how my dad sings it, with slight variation..Anyway, I'm in love you guys only three songs in, can't believe I haven't found you before!!

A beautiful guitar with a great sound; louder than Reeb's 000-18, but then it is bigger. With different woods and construction techniques, it sounds different, but not better than her Martin, Both are fabulous instruments, one could really appreciate/ either one.

IMO there are only two types of guitars: (1) Real American Made Martins (2) Imitations of Martin guitars (or Gibsons), some boutique ones that are very expensive, but still attempts to recreate classic Martins of the 30s & early 40s. However, I am certain Cunningham makes outstanding instruments, and he is from the right part of the country. A lot of love goes into a fully handmade instrument, but they tend to be rather pricey. Plus, all the solid woods that made the vintage Martins so good, just cannot be obtained today. Collins & Bourgeous are boutique and actually too expensive, but they require high prices to make a profit.

Hey, thanks for your comments :) You might enjoy our series of mini docs about the making of the raffle guitar. All of the wood for this piece was locally sourced and much of it was passed down to Jackson from local luthiers like the legendary fiddle-maker Albert Hash and his daughter Audrey Hash-Ham. Jackson puts so much into each of his instruments and this guitar is a fine example of that. Pretty cool that he makes one a year to benefit a local non-profit like the Handmade Music School in Floyd. Someone will get this incredible guitar for $25!
