I've always liked the story of Princess Alice. This lady had grit, determination and courage and was determined to live life on her terms. As a young woman she was encased in the "royal" morass of doing as she was told because she was "born" superior. The adult Alice decided that was just so much malarkey and went on to aid and care and protect some of the neediest people in our society, orphans and Jews especially when most of Europe was suffering under the Nazi evil.

To be born deaf & be able to learn sign language in 4 languages? She had a superior intellect ! 😮

0:32 This is probably the only picture I’ve ever seen with Queen Victoria smiling. 😊She seems to have been very pleased to have a great-granddaughter.

“They tell me that you don’t hear the shot that kills you. In any case, I am deaf. So why worry about that?”😂
She still had the English stiff upper lip.

HRH Princess Alice of Battenberg was an amazing royal woman and she defined what it means to help the poor, Jewish people and do her charity work on her own terms and she is my favourite German and British Princess ❤🇩🇪🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧🇨🇦🌹🥰
