I know this does not go completely with the rest of the song, but thought I'd share, since it goes with some.

May I be one who is willing to trust well what my God says, stand in the flood, and allow God to use me to rescue the broken. I don't need to agree with the broken to love them like Jesus. But to truly love someone like Jesus would it takes true understanding and learning the opposite side and educating yourself on the reasons you don’t agree with them. Otherwise it seems pretty disingenuous and pointless. Just my opinion. I’m having a hard time with understanding why sone people think they’re above another human being- a true work of God; a masterpiece and perfect in His eyes. There’s something about truly educating oneself on those things which are causing these internal conflicts. Education and unassuming love is the key ❤ and yes Lauren has absolutely out done herself with this beautiful song. Praise God for her 🙌🏻🫶🫶🫶

How the innocent and righteous are often convicted, instead the "ugly" or evil are now pedestalized. The preachers today who struggle to authentically lead their flocks by their attempts to pander to sensibilities of the masses. Those who are supposed to preach Gods word as its written, and who arent authentically preaching what is needed by their flock. Guidance so needed to cope and prepare for these trying times especially for people of faith. Lauren....youve absolutely outdone yourself with this song. All of your tunes are true to his word. I love all your songs, Lauren! This is one of my favorites! It has so much depth and truth. In these times our nation and world are in, we as believers need to LIVE our faith in God, not just talk it. "The truth leaves where it don't belong." There is only one truth, God's truth. Our eyes and ears need to be open to decern what is true and what is not. "We make the ugly look so pretty and the innocent so guilty in all of these games that we play" I never thought in my lifetime I would see Satan's deceptions so willingly embraced. We need to be on our knees praying. John 16:33 "... In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world!"

for me it's about believing that anyone who has wronged you in the past can change and they are also worth forgiving, listening to, fighting for, and preaching to (reaching out, fostering, helping)... it is really difficult to believe and trust again but only by God's grace and enablement...
Ive been performing in public first singing in my dad and moms churches since 1965. I wrote my first love song to in 1967 at 6. Radio records and TV most all my life. Its seldom EVEN in CCM Music when the lyrics speak to me and i say....wish i had written that one. Yep. I just happen to be coming of another romantic fail down here in Mexico . Lol. This one did told a bit of me as well as obviously the writers and her performance. I Love what Lauren has been doing all these years. I found her music 2 years ago in the 4th largest city in Mexico. Robbed, left for dead and brother who didnt knownme from Adam helped me back to my feet. We are still brothers and he is my douth ofbthe border lawyer now. Love comes in many forms. She's raw and real and fearless to be vunerable. Too many artists in this genre play it safe snd go for the Nashville formula. Ms. Daigle doesnt follow those same old dirt roads. She is something rare coming out of Nashvegas. I should know. I left there after having many "Close calls" with famous CCM country and pop ICONS since 1977 . Got the receipts. Ive had friends who went there to pursue a dream and let that machine chew them up and spit them to the side. Glad to see her path has not been hampered by those sell out record companies and writers singers who played it safe. LAUREN YOU are reaching into places and hurting hearts most churches and religious fakes refuse to go. I know you reached me and i haven’t sang in a church in at least 12 years. Im 62 and writing and singing for GOD still. Just not in Nashville any longer. Lauren please keep on persisting it is paying off for the real kingdom of GOD. The energy thst created us all as ONE. LOVE LIG❤HT AND LOVE TO YOUR TEAM.
