Thanks for sharing Jermaine. Your interpretation was clear and concise. I also agree that understanding us as wives/women can be difficult, especially when we are deemed the more complex being... But I'm happy you shed light on this, as this perspective can be changed by looking on situations or challenges from our perspective; making a conscious effort to understand us. As you said.. allowing your own opinions, emotions to die and seeing it from our eyes. Constant communication also helps with this, as you never know everything about your partner, no matter how long it's been. Finally, I'm sure my ladies will agree that when men play their role as prescribed by God, life makes more sense and most importantly, offers a sense of reassurance for us.
God's design is for a three member team - Himself, husband and wife. "A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken." Ecclesiastes 4:12 NLT It was never the intention to fulfill these roles in our own strength. God's strength and grace is needed. Both husband and wife should be submitted to God and be diligently seeking Him and His will for their lives. Thank you #lovingtothemacks for continuing to share.
Thank you for doing a video on the biblical role of a husband an keeping it balance with your previous upload about a biblical wife. You say a man's role is to plan, provide, and protect and I agree. Where does appreciation and gratefulness to his wife fit in the biblical role? Sometimes as wife, we can feel unappreciated for so many things such as bringing forth a child or children, enduring through obstacles, sacrifices made etc. I watched the video in tears because at the end of the day, I just wanted my family (me husband and all kids involved) to feel secure, protected and provided for.
Hi Lisa, thanks so much for sharing your thoughts on the video. I must admit before I respond that I haven't always been mindful of the sacrifices my wife has made for our marriage and even for me. I am nowhere near the husband I'm called to be by God. To your question, that would fall under Unconditional Love, also if you check out our video on Loving Your Spouse you'll see the Love Language called Words of Affirmation. I pray God will give you the words to share this need with your husband and you can begin to have your love tank filled in that regard. God bless you and your family.

@@JermaineMcdonald thank you for your quick reply and for sharing the video. I have already watched said video and many more. Great job to you and your wife. Unfortunately, I am In the process of divorce. But one thing I have realised is that my marriage lacked a lot of the basic foundations especially premarital counselling, simple communication, and family integration. At the end of the day, the betrayals, ungratefulness and secrets, the hurt were too much to contunue. Watching your videos and others helps me to understand where i was at fault and that I wasn't crazy or weak person feeling alone for so many years, though married. I am just trying to find peace within my self and adjust to my new life.
@@lisab9836 I'm so very sorry to hear. I hear the hurt in your words. I can only imagine the series of events that led to this point. I pray the Lord will heal your broken heart. We will pray for you and your family.
This is such a powerful video. I pray that it will reach the ears and hearts of many as we seek to empower marriages and families - the building blocks of society.
Wow. amazing content guys! I just love how you use the Word of God and explain what it means and tie it into the topic. Amazing work. Looking forward for more. God bless you!

Yes, I do @David and here's the context. As a provider, in the completeness of what I was explaining should be meeting physical, emotional, spiritual (leadership) and other needs for the family as Provider. When I say a man should provide even though he is not working I meant, the lack of a job doesnt eliminate the responsibility. It means, as needed, the man consistently and diligently seeks to have the needs of the family met. That can take many forms or be accomplished many ways - as the Lord leads. There is active, ongoing discussions, planning, and ensuring that the family lacks nothing.

We agree 100% Roxanne. We can't accomplish God's will for our marriage in our own strength. Absolutely Right.
