Agreed. Totally underrated. My first exposure to him was in Air Bud and then noticed him in of course Jurassic Park, Elmo as well as The Green Mile. And then I can remember when I was 11 years old I had looked up his info and what not on the internet for the first time and I was totally shocked to find out a date of death. This was all only 3 days after he died. Such a shock he is greatly missed.
Love love loved his work, and his family. He was so so talented and I miss seeing him on my TV. I grew up near his hometown of Lawrenceburg TN. He was immensely funny. Perfect timing. Even in high school he stole the show in "The Odd Couple ". In Casey's Shadow with Walter Matthau he played the evil jockey. So versatile and great dancer.
@@supermariofan-yz6yv Cool to know! Wild to see a comment from 11 years ago get a reply. I haven't seen this in such a long time! He is from my hometown so there's always been an interest in his career/life.
As the homeless drag artiste in The Fisher King Mr. Jeter became my idol: seemingly over-the-top but utterly heartbreaking/hilarious. A tour de force realisation of a character. God bless him!
I first saw him in AIR BUD the way he portrayed clown was really well, especially in the beginning of the movie when he's so frustrated with his life I felt bad for him 😂
RIP :( I was very shocked to hear about his death. I was 11 years old, and the instant I looked up his profile online for the first time ever in my life, BOOM! his death date was already enlisted. And it had just happened in the preceding weekend of that week when I did that search.
Regardless of your personal choices that I strongly disagree with, I love the quality of this actor an consider his performances as the product of originality. For this I appreciate all the work you ever did

Michael Jeter (1952-2003)
It's a shame that this talented actor died so soon. RIP!
Yes so sad!
Always wondered what Mr. Noodle sounded like as a child
Loved this guy.... Michael was amazing....his performance as Eduard Delacroix was astonishing. RIP Michael. 💔
Eduard’s death was by far the most horrific no thanks to (cough cough) Percy Wetmore.
I actually like Percy Wetmore
He was a great actor. Especially in "The Green Mile".
Yes including Patch Adams and The Polar express which was his last film before passing away
Oh shit. I just remembered that

He played both of the train engineers in 'Polar Express'.
That was his last role before he died.
Open Range was his second to last movie that he worked on.
Open Range and The Polar Express were both dedicated to Michael Jeter

Yes!! I already knew he was an incredible talent, but he absolutely blew me away in that movie!
I've never seen him in anything other than The Green Mile. He was awesome in that and I felt that he should've gotten an Oscar nomination for it.
I first saw him in AIR BUD the way he portrayed clown was really well, especially in the beginning of the movie when he's so frustrated with his life I felt bad for him 😂
He was the one who was bad to the dog.
This is my 1st time hearing what his voice sounds like!!
RIP you served us well

I still remember him as that Shady Clown from 'Air Bud'. Huge departure from his role as Mr Noodle....
Sad He Died In 2003 When He Was Just 50
