Last night I look at my life, all I've done, been through and what is happening to me right now, this dose not make sense and it's like God is far from me. And all I can hear is trust and have faith and hope in God, now comes this sermon for me to have hope and believe in our Lord and Savour Jesus Christ, that He will see me through this trying times...

I was with Willow Creek when it all fell apart and Steve left… I wondered and found Jimmy Evans who lead me to Gateway and pastor Robert Morris. My heart was broken when it all fell apart and even Evans left… so I’ve wandered until today when I see what His plan has been all along. Thank you Jesus for your plan and giving me faith to stay strong … and thank you Steve for making it here… I’m still in Chicago but a part of the Willow Home. Praise be to Him

Thank you so much for continuing to stand with me for my breakthrough. Even though outward it looks like it's going the opposite direction, I know God is working on my behalf, and I want to see it.

Thank you for your message. This message speaks to me in this way, how can church preach about forgiveness when the own church hasn’t forgive pastor Robert ? We accept and have campuses in prison because God redeems and restores but church didn’t feel the same about pastor Robert. This doesn’t sit well with me. We forgive others except pastor Robert ? Because you the elders haven’t forgive him ??

I believe it was truly for our Pastor Robert today! I have been thanking the Lord continually today, for Pastor Steve’s message. He specifically stated that we all should choose forgiveness for “our pastor/your pastor”, speaking of Pastor Robert. God is SO GOOD, and I firmly believe/Hope for healing, FORGIVENESS, restoration and revival for Pastor, and Gateway Church, Amen! For “Nothing is Impossible with God.” And according to His Holy Word, His desire for His people, is healing, forgiveness, restoration, redemption and revival. For ALL can come to the CROSS, Amen. 🙏🙏🙏

Not a member of this church (in fact was never a fan) but to say that is crazy! If something is rocking your church then you have to be honest and always update your people. You can not simply just forget the past. Its not that easy.

Did Roberts compensate Cindy....did you vslidate the victim.....do that first..then convince viewers believers and non that your serious about DO justice..love mercy and walk humbly with our God

Forgiveness starts with Cindy. It’s a choice that each of us have to make. I speak from experience, choosing to Forgive, is utterly DIVINE. The Holy Spirit can touch/heal us like NO ONE ELSE CAN, Amen.

. His attorney advised him that if they paid her she could end up in prison like for extortion. He wrote her a letter that he and Debbie wanted the best for her(Cindy) and even would be willing to go public but advised her to speak with her father first because her father in past had asked them to respect his wishes for privacy. He offered to pay for her counciling but his attorney advised anymore than that could harm her legally. Alot of the emails and letters between them were released and can be read. Robert and Debbie went to Cindy and asked her for forgiveness. No one seems to have looked at all sides...not just the media's version. No excuses for criminal behavior but God does forgive. There was repentance and it was handled by the elders before Gateway was ever formed 40 years ago. This has been such a tragedy how it was handled. It could have been a great testimony of God's love and forginess. I hope Cindy is able to forgive and be healed. It certainly hasn't shown an accurate picture of forgiveness in the church about what God's word says and in front of the eyes of the world.
