@@edgarharo7434 I actually had a thought about that too! Or maybe revealing later down the line in potential sequels that the two demons are in the same universe /giving Toby an official demon name like Asmodeus
Asmodeus is Tobi. We see in this film that his full name is Asmodeus of the Book of Tobit. Tobi is the nickname Kristi gave him. I'm glad they got rid of the nickname because I can't take a demon named Tobi seriously.
Still dumb though. Tobi possessed Katie and her sister after attacking them one time but in this case they needed to perform a ritual to posses Margot? And the way they made her mom look as asmodeus🤦🏾♀️ so dumb. Would have been so much scarier if she went down in the well and saw her mother down there looking normal but acting creepy because she’s possessed. Then they could have made a story line out of that with Margot trying to help her mom escape not realizing she’s possessed.
Occurs to me at the end here, having a 'found footage' horror film from the point of view of policemen with body cameras would actually work quite well since you'd never question why they have them on.

They should make a backstory about Toby and what the family wanted in return for the first son. How did they get in contact with Toby? Where did they acquire this kind of magic lol.
The fact they were turned away at first makes it even more sinister. The cult planned the entire visit so meticulously, the only slip was the teenage girl asking about tik tok 😂😂😂😂
I think this movie is worth it solely for the ending. The whole sequence is really interesting and enjoyable. I loved the things they did with the camera with the slowed down effect (not sure what it's called). Dale was such an enjoyable character too. Also I don't know if anyone else thought this but the scene where Margot is attacked in the night, I thought she was r*ped by the demon/entity. It is a demon of lust etc, after all. It would be a reference too to the older horror film, The Entity, where a woman is r*ped by a spirit/unknown entity. In this video, he says the demon was trying to get rid of Margot so they couldn't do the ritual but if that was the case, it would have killed her, not simply made her bleed. It seems powerful enough to follow through, so with that theory in mind, it's weird that it let her live. I agree with what a lot of people have said here. The Paranormal Activity thing was just a marketing thing. I think it could have stood alone with the title being 'Next of Kin'.
No one in horror movies ever has any point of reference. "Oh my god. What's Asmodeus." "He's a prince of Hell." "How do you know that?" "Did you guys never read the Redwall books?"

Director just letting some references there. Also, he hates birds and water bc it reminds he of God, and when he is searching Sarah and Chris, it's the only scene in all the film when we can see a bird. And in the final night is raining. Asmodeus is "Tobi," he's a demon from the Book of Tobit and his enemy was Tobit's son, Tobias. The possessed Samuel is probably who we saw at the end of the Ghost Dimension.
5:10 Christ I remember saying that line so many times to my friend when we were watching Para 3 during English class. When he asked when the ghost will show up, I would respond with "Okay this will happen, but don't worry. It's just the beginning". And I didn't realize that I say it so frequently until a girl we sat next to sighed audibly and mumbled what I said.
Actually do we know they escaped? Margo's shriek after turning around in her seat in the car at the end could mean something popped out of the back seat and got them when they were trying to drive away from the mayhem and madness...and it just wasn't shown, but inferred...
Paranormal Activity was definitely just put in the title to try and make the movie do better. IMO, people might've thought the movie would've been better if it wasn't connected to PA. Made our expectations a little too high.
Thank you foundflix, you’re the only way I can “watch” horror movies. My sister scared me growing up. Freddy Krueger will always scare me no matter how old I am 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I’ve always wanted a movie where there’s a cult of some demon prince and our protags are clearly outmatched by the demon and it’s cult, but in the movie they basically hit that “well if the devil exists then…” moment and basically phone a friend an archangel at the end and get demon gets F’d in the A, unless we want an oh shit moment instead and it wins lol
I love how they basically seen the ritual steps on the church floor and ignored them. They put the steps on the floor to warn people of what needs to be done in order to prevent the demon from escaping. It was wrong, but necessary to prevent the evil from escaping.
As a fan of Viziepop's various works, it's weird hearing Asmodeus in this setting, even if this would be more accurate. Wait maybe that's why the sacrifices stopped working, he's got his hands full with Ozzie's right now

Toby was able to get a physical body and be set free. Now Asmodeus in this film. I think they’re going to keep this story going for a long time.
Toby is asmodeus they revealed it in the film. His name is Asmodeus of the book of Tobit. The little girl Kristi from the old ones named him Tobi for short.
This is the beginning showing how he got freed but didn’t have his own body he can only posses. Time travel is in the movie so he can bounce around till we get to the originals
I am mixed on this. I was not engaged with the cast and some of the scares don’t line up. There were a few camera shots and suspense scenes that I did really enjoy. @@nl9833 no I live in Amish Country PA and I just get nervas sharing the road with their hores and buggy lol.
Cause of the horse poop?
They seem to be unleashing super powered badass demons at the end of these now. Maybe they are putting together a squad of baddies so that they can do a super hero team up movie to battle them, like a Ghostbusters team or a Exorcist Squad.
Or Constantine? Liked that movie.
Hey this is not related to the video but I just wanted to say Thank you for making this vids, they are in their own way entretaining to watch, the time and effort to write a script and the patience to watch some of the worst stuff just so we can enjoy here with you. Thanks man I been loving your content for so many years and ill keep loving it. Keep up the good work and have fun with what your doing
I agree with Edgar. Thanks!

They should make a backstory about Toby and what the family wanted in return for the first son. How did they get in contact with Toby? Where did they acquire this kind of magic lol.
He offered them power and wealth which is why they did it
The grandmother wanted wealth in return she promised toby a son by one of her daughters. She was part of some cult

How do you manage to constantly be the best horror channel out here, man?
Good job on another well done video.
Hi I’m James A Janisse… oh wait
Dead Meat is the best horror movie channel actually.
My cousin was really excited about this movie, makes me miss the good old days of found footage films
The early 2000's were a beautiful time
Quarantine, REC, Grave Encounters are some great found footage films
@@WhoTfIzKTManee the Poughkeepsie tapes are my favorite and if you like grave encounters have you tried hell house LLC? It's very similar vibes
The Blair Witch Project and Cloverfield.
@@WhoTfIzKTManee those scared the absolute shit out of me especially grave encounters
The fact they were turned away at first makes it even more sinister. The cult planned the entire visit so meticulously, the only slip was the teenage girl asking about tik tok 😂😂😂😂
The reception for the internet must be TERRIBLE, though? :P
During a really bad day at work…..this video made things better
Thank you man!!!!
"Oh my god. What's Asmodeus."
"He's a prince of Hell."
"How do you know that?"
"Did you guys never read the Redwall books?"
It’s like when zombie movies don’t exist in zombie movies
"Have y'all never seen Supernatural?"

This is such a weird and confusing series. Although I only saw 1, 2 and 3, they were still good. Do you think you could explain Don’t Look Now (1973), or 2001: A Space Odyssey? Or bring back the community vote?
This channel deserves every ounce of success and more that is has earned. Your channel has helped me watch and find many films, mainly horror, that have been a thrill to watch. Thank you.
Finding out that this demon that's been targeting children is supposed to be Asmodeus Lord of lust really adds an uncomfortable feel when rewatching the original movies
where are you getting lust from?
he is the master of witches and prince of law.
That ending is actually really good. I love seeing the bad win and its done pretty well.
Asmodeus.. takes me back to early 80s D&D days
Fun fact: I was investigating about Asmodeus bc I didn't remember what demon was he, and he apears in the book Tobit (Toby), and it says that he's hostile to a Sarah. Director just letting some references there. Also, he hates birds and water bc it reminds he of God, and when he is searching Sarah and Chris, it's the only scene in all the film when we can see a bird. And in the final night is raining.
Sorry english is not my first language
EVERYONE MISSED HER HORNS!!!!
REWATCH: As they're getting away in the van and she turns to scream at the farm, her hair makes the shape of two tiny, very distinct horns.
We had to rewind it to be sure. AND they are the style as whatever create is outlined on the box cover art.
I think she's the demon. And the other guy is the spirit that was trapped in that tiny closet, out to stop her.
it's a pretty good observation but I think it's a reach, baby hair sticking out or "horns" are pretty normal when your hair is a mess
@@desireevega7787 I'm with you. I thought so too. I had to rewatch it.
After they finally escape the farm, she looks back and screams. She has two tiny, shadowy horns. I thought it was just a trick of the light, so I rewatched it. Then I saw the cover art for the movie!
The cover art is a snowy forest, in the shape of a demon face with the EXACT SAME tiny angled horns she has on her head.
@@OnYourSquare Yeah no that's hair, watch the whole scene again. You can clearly see it's hair. One of the """horns""" is even see through, like, well, hair
@@solochi45 I completely agree it's her hair. It's simply in a very subtle 'horn' shape. One BOTH sides of her head.
@Jax Teller [Shoulder shrug] Maybe. I haven't seen it.
Still, it's good to see that I wasn't crazy and there were others who noticed it.

It's amazing the Paranormal Activity is still going. The first movie really gave me nightmare, I couldn't sleep for weeks. I watched a couple of following movies after it and completely forgot about it. Then YT recommended me this video and this gives me the nostalgia.

The camerawork and how they integrated dthe in world cameras into the film was really really good.
that slow motion shot was actually pretty sick, gave me some video game cutscene vibes

I just rewatched your previous video on the paranormal activity saga and at one point it's mentioned that toby's one of the 7 princes of hell, so now that Asmodeus is in play in this one maybe moving forward it'll be the other princes also making their way into our world.
Why can't the paranormal activity series just have Katie as the villain because those were great.
Maybe Katie is no longer because Tobi has a body himself now
I miss Katie too
I had no idea this was actually filmed in western New York. Very cool! I visit one of the local Amish communities every year to shop. Very nice people.

Your movie reviews are the best everytime I watch a scary movie i go to your channel to see if you have covered it, your comedic touch to covering the horror genre is a good mix. Great work!
I guess not a lot of people noticed it but at 20:25 you can clearly see her hair shaped like a devil horns. Don't know what it means but I'm guessing there might be two demons: 1 in the cave and 1 in the attic?
I really enjoyed this one. I think what was above Margot's room was Toby. Also Dale was amazing. Every line from him was gold. Dale talking about the pigs *"So, do they all have like nice butts?"*
I actually laughed a lot in the one. The tall dude was so damn funny. XD.
Also, the cinematography was amazing.
@@ralphwarom2514 yeah it looked great and had some fantastic ideas. It kind of felt like chernobyl Diaries where some shots couldn't have had someone filming.
The way they are running from "sarah" toward the end right as the chain is breaking free and it has a semi frame cut to the chain breaking. It's Almost like a visualization to the sound.

It's been many years since I watched any paranormal activity movie so I could be mistaken, but isn't Toby supposed to be a demon as well? Or just a spirit?
@@menoguchi Yeah, Toby is demon, they just haven't revealed what demon he is exactly.

Generally, ever since 2016 I stopped having my phone out at dinner because I think it’s rude asf. I won’t preach it to others at the table because obviously that’s their prerogative (and perhaps I’m too boring) but yea.
Non-surprising, I work in the food industry. It’s painful just to look at a table full of phone lookers let alone being the person there hoping for genuine discussion.
I was getting worried when I didn't see a video for 2 weeks glad to see everything is okay!
Wait this was filmed in Buffalo, Ny? That is epic!! I am resident of Buffalo and never knew!! Interesting that i found this channel :O plus the love of all things creepy you got me hooked!

The "Bone" Throne, sounds like something an old military buddy would come up with.
As soon as he said tiktok, that killed the whole horror movie vibe.
I didn't even know this existed 😂
The last 20 minutes were probably scariest the series ever got, but THE MARKED ONES is the best IMO
Honestly, I'd love to see another movie or two of Asmodeus, then a good old ghost fight between Asmodeus and Toby.
They are the same entity
asmodeus is tobi
You know how in Elden Ring, where Queen Marika and Radagon are one in the same?
Yeah, sort of the same thing here with Asmodeus and Tobi.
@@jarrettbattle9295 Huh. The more you know
“It’s Tobi with an I.. sometimes I like to spell with an i at the end and a smiley face instead of the dot”
Asmodeus is "Tobi," he's a demon from the Book of Tobit and his enemy was Tobit's son, Tobias. The possessed Samuel is probably who we saw at the end of the Ghost Dimension.
@Stephanie Slayer no, he's possessed by Tobi
5:10 Christ I remember saying that line so many times to my friend when we were watching Para 3 during English class. When he asked when the ghost will show up, I would respond with "Okay this will happen, but don't worry. It's just the beginning".
And I didn't realize that I say it so frequently until a girl we sat next to sighed audibly and mumbled what I said.
I love you Foundflix!!!!!
@@TheTillmanSneakerReview Toby Maguire?
Wait maybe that's why the sacrifices stopped working, he's got his hands full with Ozzie's right now
Good to know I'm not the only one, I can't help but think of Asmodeus's song Lmao

So they’re going to create more of these I would assume. The story is to create physical bodies for all 7 princes of hell is it not? Remember Toby is also 1 out of 7.

This is a movie recap not an explained ending video for those wondering 😅
I am mixed on this. I was not engaged with the cast and some of the scares don’t line up. There were a few camera shots and suspense scenes that I did really enjoy. The whole scene going down the hole initially and when they’re down there again, were my favorite parts. I feel if the “monster” wasn’t who I thought it would be, it could have been that much better. I think this one I’ll need time for this to really sink in how I feel about it.
