- Goichi Hosoda was born in 1898 in Japan and was the inventor of Ichimoku Cloud, A Technical Indicator. At this time Japan was a modern society dealing with new international connections. The business was growing including the technology sector.
Goichi knew the intrinsic value of rice so would watch trades of rice futures, looking for patterns, using candlesticks to help. Being a journalist, he had researched all the known indicators of the time.
In 1929, Goichi Hosoda felt that in order to beat the market, he needed an “all in one” indicator, but there was none. Hence he decided to develop his own and invented Ichimoku Cloud.
He had on paper devised a strategies and methodology for normalizing price movement and an analytical way of determining the probability of a trend continuing from short term to long term. But it was all still on paper and hence just a hypothesis. He needed to test the past 200 years of price movement charts and records in order to figure out whether his methodology actually worked for the present.
So he employed an army of mathematicians, mostly students who sat down in the late 1930s and started testing Goichi’s methodology. But dark truth is that all the army was chained to their desks, but with generous rations, the students embarked on a journey of endless computations and Goichi was always supervising them.
Somewhere around in the 1950s, Goichi and his team finally successfully tested the methodology and named it, Ichimoku Kinko Hyo, meaning, “One glance equilibrium chart”. For the next 10 years, Goichi started utilizing this indicator and soon there was no doubt that he was the number one trader in Japan in that era. All thanks to the Ichimoku Cloud indicator.
Ichimoku Cloud was truly all-in-one. It could anticipate entry and exit points, had the flexibility of time frame, would work on any type of market, and showed the future zones of resistance and support, as well as busy areas for past-present-future.

Sar .... i am risarch ..ichimoku cloud last tree year. It s like pazhal.jo dikhata vesha hota nahi. Kya aap gochi hashida gi ki jagapar hote to apni puri risarch publicly published karte .i not agree. Unhone method jarur bataya he le kin pura nahi..ha ye indicator stoke market ka itni shatik information detahe .its methas magic. But gochi hashodas pazhal very hard. Not izee......
