Great info video. I have been watching your videos from when you started doing them in Mexico. This video is great info for the many people thinking of moving to Mexico. I would tell people to really think about the weather like you said at the begining of the vedio. We have an apartment in Roma Sur CDMX. We also have a place one hour outside of Morelia in a small farming town. Each place offers something different. In the Morelia area we have a car so we can visit all the smaill towns around the area. In Mexico city we do not have a car so we have to use public transportation. We can walk to pickleball in Mexico city (LOL) each person should really pick carefully were the decide to live.

Thanks so much for watching out videos! Similar to weather, the humidity in places like the Yucatan Peninsula, or the dry/thin air in the mountains are things to consider. We love CDMX, but as coastal people, we really feel the dry, dusty air during that season. Haha pickleball! We are looking into Paddle around here - seems more accessible than tennis or pickleball. Sauldos 🇲🇽

Great vid-REALLY love to see a vid about why y’all like Merida so much…seems like most of the vids I’ve seen about expats in Merida are either people just staying for one month and then moving on to the next place, or else couples with young children who are building a network with other parents/children there.

We do love it here! And we still have so much to discover about the city and surrounding area. We can't wait 😎

We love your videos. Great info. We watched many before our trip to Europe. Unfortunately, I signed up my email to get your PDF on Verona Italy. My email box is now flooded with junk mail.

Hi Justin! Thanks so much for the kind words! What kind of junk emails are you receiving? That's strange. We write each of those emails with a ton of love, so if you're receiving 'junk' it must be something else. You can always unsubscribe at the bottom of each email if you don't wish to receive them. Or you can also send us an email at gordon@waysofstheworldblog.com so we can manually check with our email service provider.

@@waysoftheworld_ Thanks for responding. We live just outside of PV in Bucerias. 4+ years now. Just loving Mexico!! I will unsubscribe and if no changes maybe it was from somewhere else.

I chose San Miguel de Allende in Guanajuato, very beautiful UNESCO city, preserved colonial architecture, super clean and well-run. Some people say it is over gentrified and personally I have not found that to be the case at all unless you stay in Centro the whole time! Beautiful countryside outside of city. Fantastic food and music scene. Ideal weather if you don't mind putting on a sweater on some evenings. Enough English speaking so those learning Spanish can easily get by. Wineries a short drive, lavender fields, the tall skinny Cypress trees. I always knew I'd end up living somewhere with those trees lol. If you need to hang on the beach sometimes, Puerto Vallarta is only an hour flight and an easy drive from there to Sayulita and the other coastal towns north. Also a cheap flight to Merida, Cancun and even Oaxaca where you can grab a 3 hr bus to Puerto Escondido now, I have yet to get into the ancient ruins in Yucatan but planning a trip which would start in Merida. I moved down around 6 months ago with two suitcases and a backpack having sold my house and almost everything in it. It can be done people! Cheers!

Thanks for sharing! What a great story 😊 We can't wait to visit San Miguel and see it for ourselves. Almost everybody we know who spends time there absolutely loves it. The tall skinny Cypress tress - I always call them Italian Riviera trees. Now I know the real name 😂 Hope Uxmal is on your list of Mayan ruins to visit here on the Peninsula. It's our fave (but there are many great ones)

Great video. I live in Cozumel, nice and small with very low crime rate and international airport. Awesome small town pick. I'm ready to get a tour of your home there in Merida. We have excellent doctors & hospitals here! Mostly because of all of the scuba diving. And if I have a serious issue, I get a 5 minute taxi to airport and take a 2 hour flight to Tampa where my son lives. I have a studio 4 blocks from the Malecon and I pay $500US/month, includes elec/water/wifi.

We love Cozumel! It will continue being our vacation spot here in MX. Can't get enough of the scuba diving! Our Merida home tour will be coming soon 🇲🇽

Interesting choice, Mexico. I know you guys have been in a number of European countries and also in Asia. May i ask why you chose Mexico instead of any of the other countries? Just as a curiosity, as we are also trying to figure out where to move 😊

Hello - we chose Mexico because it's close to our families in the US, we can navigate easily with the language, and it's a fascinating & friendly country. We thought about Italy, but I (Gordon) am an European citizen, and because we want to teach ppl how to move, it wouldn't have given us a great first hand experience of the challenges. We go over those things in the previous video 😊 Hope you find somewhere great to move - maybe it is Mexico!
