Photos of the furminator? and other brushes, so we can find simular styles here would be so helpful. I understand this is probably your brand you're promoting. :) Always enjoy your channel. from New Zealand
You’ll find a Furminator at any pet shop (it’s not his brand). There is a cheap version from Kmart I got for $15. Also in nz. Agree it’s weird to have a video about grooming that doesn’t show any of the equipment or grooming techniques.
@@Tonisuperfly OMG Kmart! What a THROWBACK, I just got flooded with nostalgia and suddenly caught a whiff of the distinct Little Caesar’s smell that you’d get as soon as you walked through the entrance😭 that’s a good chunk of my childhood right there, crazy how much our brain can retain and even the smallest things can trigger a memory you had believed was lost. Thanks for the flashback lol
@@jaystacularhaha, you’re welcome. What is Little Caesar’s? Kmart in nz is just a big store with no food places attached or anything. I have been in the States and was overwhelmed by the shear size of some stores there. Yes, it is amazing how nostalgia can be triggered and I also “smell” my strongest memories. Imagine what it’s like for dogs with their superior olfactory system!
Been watching your video for several months and generally find them informative and instructive, however I was disappointed in this one. I was hoping for some practical examples showing how to brush and visual examples of the products discussed. But keep up the good work on showing the practical demos of training issues.
Hi, I have a black lab border collie mix and she has serious skin issues. I’ve switched up her food to get rid of stuff she’s allergic to. The only success I have had was switching her to a raw food diet, she looked amazing but with that fix came another issue… she had the runs and it wouldn’t go away so we had to take her off of it and now she’s back to normal but she’s starting to lose hair again. I don’t know what else to do
Is there a particular shampoo for black labs you would recommend? My previous groomer said to use Pert, but that was for Sheitzu’s and she was a showroom finalist so she may have been a bit biased.
Thanks for watching Alison! Hopefully our channel can help and don't forget to check out our Training channel or our courses on our website you might find helpful: www.fenrircanineleaders.co.uk/
Hey! I’ve just came across your page, I’m finding all your tips and advice really helpful so thank you for that! We’re hoping to get a yellow English Lab puppy next year however before doing so I’m making sure we do our research before hand. I don’t suppose you have any contacts with breeders in the East Midlands do you? Finding the right puppy is so difficult. Thanks again for all your help. Charlie
Hi Charlie, it's so good to hear you're doing your research before you bring a pup home. Sadly we're unable to give recommendations on breeders but on one of our other channels we have a video looking at what you need to think about when looking for a breeder: ruclips.net/video/7sMNmDwtfOM/видео.html

They shed twice a year. For 6 months a time🤣
Mine sheds once a year and never stops
🤣🤣🤣🤣👍
😂😂 true
Truth! 😅
I love how thoroughly your explain dog care. You really teach new dog owners.
I would be nice if you actually showed the dog being brushed/groomed instead of just showing Labrador pictures.
I think that's the kind of content you will find on their paid content ;)
I agree
Really cool video. Thanks. My pup is half Labrador and half idk who, but he has amazing Labrador personality. Love him.
Is a high velocity dryer a good investment if a Lab is the only dog in the house?
Please supply pictures of the grooming tools. We are in Afrika and the names of brushes can be different.
Thanks so much for this video! We are considering a lab puppy and I’m just trying to learn everything I can before we take the plunge (so to speak). 😁

Thanks so much!! Super helpful information. :)
Wanted to see which type of brush to get, and none were shown in this video.
If they aren’t getting muddy or dirty, how often should a lab get a bath?
this is one of the best videos I found on RUclips. short and to the point with all the necessary information. thank you 👐🏻
my lab grows long fur between his paw pads should I trim those or leave them long?
Trim it (not a proffesional but “girl with the dogs”, who is a groomer, does it on all dogs i believe)
Because I am an equestrian I have lots of horse shampoo, can I use horse shampoo on my yellow lab?

Can we trim there tail ends to have fluffy tails
how about showing the brushes instead of just talking about them?
Easier to take a lab to a dirt/gravel park, it will naturally file their nails down

No human soap at all? Not even a baby soap in a pinch?
Soap good enough for you is good enough for your dog.
None at all.
Should labs get haircuts??
Absolutely not. Cutting their hair will ruin their undercoat. Brushing should be effective enough - plus, they love it!
Hey, you mention types of grooming combs to use for
Labradors but not once do you bother to show examples of these combs.
Disappointing video.
At least show us the tools you're using
