Going back and watching this video gave me chills. Mommytard talking about wanting to introduce music to the kids and now princesstard has her own song out. You guys as a family have come so far and it feels amazing to have be there with you guys through the journey!

its so uplifting to watch you shay. my family is going thru a tough time right now. my husband has cancer. we've been forced to move and its all pretty overwhelming. now myself, i tend to be a "glass 1/2 full" kind of person; whereas my husband is the opposite. but i agree, you can be happy if you just choose to be. i've learned to close off the bad stuff and smile. (don't know how sometimes,but i do)..watching your family gives me that smile! just love you guys!!! thank you so much for that!!!

I understand what he means that when your surroundings are clean you feel calm and free and soo relaxed. Right now the sun is shining in england and its hot so im in my room clean and fresh just laying in my bed with the fan on! Its really relaxing

You've very right Shay. Whenever my room gets really untidy, I clean it up and feel so accomplished and happy because a nice environment always makes people feel better.

I stopped watching your vlogs for about 7 months and I'm gonna start watching them again daily. You guys are so motivating and even if I saw your "order" to clean my room a little late I'm gonna do it. ;)
i've always completely agreed with shay on the happiness is a choice cliche. also with the cleaning your room, it makes you feel so relaxed and chilled. i might go do it.
Remember when getting a 30 minute vlog was only for the Christmas special, and now it's like, just another daily vlog - no big deal. I love the ShayTards

Today I was having a horrible day, I felt like crap and basically wanted to cry all the time, so I decided to take your advice and I started cleaning my room. It is so true that things like that can make you feel better, I am feeling good now, thanks for the advice!

I cleaned my room today! After coming back from a 6 month travel, i just put everything in my room and just left it for a couple weeks! But I did it today! Unpacked, and organized!
I have went back to the very beginning, and liked every single one of his videos :D Lots of work, but as I liked them, I saw the differences and growth in the family :D

I am always telling people to keep their surroundings clean!! When my friends come to me complaining about how stressed they are, one of the first things I tell them is to clean! It REALLY DOES make a difference! I feel so much less stressed when my room is clean.. it's amazing the difference!

This is so funny. I have been all stressed and antsy for the last couple weeks and starting yesterday I started cleaning my car and my room which were both disasters! And today I'm already feeling better. It's the weirdest thing. And now I'm watching the vlog and Shay starts talking about doing that! This is great, I'm trying hard to keep my environment bright and clean.
Whenever i see myself switching to negative thoughts, I make lists of things I'm grateful for. I aim for at least five things and the list is huge sometimes. Never fails to make me happy.
I just tidied my room Shay! I hope you're proud, I feel much better, honestly! My room was a tip, took my an hour and a half to clean!

It is so funny, exactly one year ago, I came back home after being away for a month. My room was such a mess... After being away for a month and coming back, I couldn't stand the mess and I decided to do a "radical" clean up. I got rid of everything, litterally, down to the bed frame and even re-did the painting. I really needed something refreshing. I had to do that in order to get it really "spick and span". It was never clean before that, and it has been cleaned ever since :D

the little things definitely make a difference. in order to study, i need to change my environment. typically that means cleaning my room and it really works for me!
A couple years ago I was so happy, everything in my life was great and I couldn't believe how much I had changed for the better. I had friends, family, school was great, I was achieving things and I had started by cleaning my room, crazy right!? I just decorated it and I thought I would be proud of it and then I thought the same about everything else in my life. I ate better, healthier, I joined dance and made an effort to get it know new ppl and it's crazy to think that all started by cleaning. But then It became unhealthy and I had developed really bad anxiety, OCD and an eating disorder, so please if you do try to do this, make sure you have a healthy balance of everything and don't overthink it. Xx ❤️
It really is possible to be happy. I had a bad day at work (retail) and got fed up.. I decided to go to the recruiter that day and over a year later, I'm the happiest person I've ever been. Hoooyaa Navy!
Truth! This semester I had a class that was HORRIBLE. The teacher was boring, and the work load was huge. So to cheer me up about it I bought myself a bunch of nice stationary, got a fancy binder that I always made sure stayed organised, and made an effort to get to know all of my classmates. As it stands my grade is at 93% and I have a bunch of new friends, one of which I would consider to be at best friend status.
I like the challenge because when I'm having a crappy day I always tidied or sort out a section of my room and I feel SO much better. I've been doing this for a few years now =D
I actually 'high-fived' my screen wihtout even thinking about it. just a reflex.. I love your encouragements Shay! you are my #1 inspiration :D

So yesterday I was coming home from spending time with my dad for fathers day. I was home on the computer, and I started feeling bad vibes, like something bad was going to happen. I start listening to music, and I was feeling better. Minutes later I break my mirror, and supposedly that is bad luck. I dont believe in that, but it got me pretty pissed. I was having a bad day. I remembered how you said cleaning your room can make things better, and it did THANK YOU! I feel much better.
yes! i totally remember having to bring an emergency snack kit thing when i used to live in california and also we did a lot of earth quake drills where we would take shelter under our desks.
I have to say, whenever my room is tidy, I feel a whole load better and I get more things done :)
I went to school in Vancouver so we have the same earthquake threat as California due to the subduction zone on the coast. In the first year of elementary school (preschool) we had to submit an earthquake kit (a teddy, letter from parents, and photo of family) and on the last day of elementary school (grade 6), they were given back to us. Super cool memories for everybody getting that bag back.

Just Cleaned My Room! Stoked For This.
Cleanses are terrible for you, people. Don't do it -- there's nothing to clean out of your GI system, just eat healthy! It jacks up your metabolism and avoiding a binge is impossible after depriving your body for days. Just use your brain.
Hey everyone, here's a room cleaning tip (or for just general organizing): make sure everything has a place. designate certain areas for certain items! so when you need to stash any object, you know where it will be. this way you also need to only organize this one time, and next time the cleaning process will be much easier.

The room idea sounds wonderful! I'm always happier when I have a clean environment. But here's my problem: whenever I set a goal like that, if I don't succeed, I beat myself up about it, bigtime. But I will definitely try.
Haha I keep my room tidy every chance I get and i clean the rest of the little things in my home and it lowers my stress and keeping me happier (: I also feel proud of myself for doing it instead of being lazy!
