1997. I was working in a pub in Twickenham, like a good Aussie girl does. This song came over the jukebox. I was instantly caught by it, and raced through an order desperately hoping I could get it done in time to run to the 'box to catch the band name and the title of the song. Bought "Mouth To Mouth" the next day and fell in love with the Levellers. 23 years later and counting, and this song still moves me to the depths of my soul every time, the album is still one of my favourites, and I'm chuffed that they are still performing.
Northern England, '92.....12 year old boy first heard "Carry Me" from Weapon called the word album, via friend's older brother........stil love their music, depth of lyrics, and political philosophy! Outstanding!

30+ years ago I fell in love with the Levellers and the music they make & I am pleased to say they never once stopped being relevant in my life, other music has come and gone but the Levs really are eternal. My partner and grown children all feel the same way

I'm 30 now, these are one of my favourites. First time I listened to them was from a tape playing in my dad's car when I was about 7.

There's nothing imperfect about every note and lyric in this song. Absolutely magic.
I have been disconnected from The Levellers for many years, saw them many times in the 90s in my teens and 20s. Guess I have missed a lot, they still rock and I still get those chills listening.
One of the few bands, where I can just buy the new album blindly and know I'll love it.... and it's definitely not just more of the same!

Reminded me of crying over this song information not lost not forgotten.
We saw them perform this at Buxton Opera House, and it was just as electrifying! My husband came across Mark in the pub afterwards, and told him it was probably the best he'd seen the band, but I don't think Mark could quite believe him.. It really was an incredible performance. I'll never forget it. :)
Saw the Levellers a few days ago.Got my tickets for Buxton Opera House next year and hotel booked. Can't wait. Been seeing the Levellers for about 30 years now.
I first saw them back in the 80s and still love them just as much as back then
I saw this as part of the Levellers’ acoustic set at the Cropredy2018 festival. One of the most amazing live performances I’ve ever seen, just a magical and powerful thing to witness with 20,000 people in a field. Seeing it live, the didgeridoo sounded louder in the mix, I could literally feel it shaking my rib cage. Goosebumps.

That sounds amazing 💗 i was at the Preston leg of this tour, and with it being quite an intimate performance it brought me 2 tears, my first ever Levellers gig after hoping to see them live for many years and never quite managing it but i can certainly say that the patience definitely payed off. Absolutely beautiful 💖 and Goosebumps a plenty i can tell ya ;xD

This was my favorite track of that album played it over and over again when it was released. As other people have commented they have massively improved upon it.
