Despite how long it’s been since it was first uploaded, I keep coming back to this animation. I loved it since I was a kid and now as an adult it’s so nostalgic. Glad I found it again.
I had the urge to watch this animation a few months ago and couldn't remember the name of it for the life of me and looking up "circus vocaloid song" got me nowhere. Then it shows up today as the thumbnail of a RUclips Mix playlist. The one time I appreciate the "All Seeing Google Algorithm"
i was about to make the same comment. Even if it is not a "chef d'oeuvre" speaking about the animation and the music, this is still awesome and must have take a lot of work and love.. it definitively deserve more views!!
I feel like the storyline for this is that this girl is bored of her life and wants something cool to happen, but when that circus rolls in and whisks her away there's a "small" consequence to her wish coming true... ^^;
Something I really like about this is that it stays consistently cute and colorful. It's dark in a way that, I think, is never obviously dangerous or bad. No blood, menacing smiles, or clearly evil intentions. The repetition of danger and safety along with the cute graphics and music combined with somewhat creepy situations (pulling off bird feet and heads, falling from deadly heights, the circus girl pretending to reach out to the other girl, blowing up an alligator) sort of create a mood of uncertainty, and it's never made super clear whether or not the dark haired girl or the audience should be worried. The lyrics have the same effect. Even the very end isn't obviously dark. Overall, this animation does a really great job creating a sense of wonder and unease, a mix that I personally find enamoring and viscerally discomforting.
Well, this is amazing, I want this to get more views, but about the story, that was real twist, she ended up being trap as a bunny. that went dark real quick.
This is simply phenomenal... I mean, the quality of the animation, the design, the pacing, it's pretty amazing to remember that the people who did this are amateurs wanting to enter the industry of anime...

This was pretty good animation, but all I could think for the whole time was how much of a ball Cinema Sins would have with this video. From the swan mutilation to the horrifically ineffective safety trampoline to the discount Lion King musical number to the clear Roman arena-style slaughter of that alligator... There are just so many messed up little details, and I somehow imagine counting them all would be quite amusing.
I feel like at the point where all of those fantasy things happened, it's not that chocking to see this. Like there's already a giant pig, a circus wich is way bigger in the inside than the outside, a giant crocodile, fake ducks etc. I don't think things like the crocodile slaughter or the trampoline should be a problem
If this is one of the products that is bound to come out as an actual series.... Funding this program will be goddamn worth every goddamn penny donated!
