Sent this song to my older brother as I do when I find a gem. We don't talk a lot but I love him. He died a couple weeks later from alcoholism... wish I had called him. He left a 14 and 16 year old boys. They lost their momma 3 years ago to same type issue their father had. Very regretful feelings of not talking to him much and then for some fucking weird reason I sent him this song. I love the darkness of the song but it became so real it's hard to listen to. Quando vejo comentários em português nesse tipo de música, minh’alma respira aliviada... ainda tem jeito para o Brasil! O “bom gosto musical” ainda não morreu... The White Buffalo in 🇧🇷!!
One of my favorite singer songwriter. He's been through the ugly side of life which I totally lived. He has a dark and commanding spirit which encompasses all his music.
This song is hauntingly beautiful. First discovered it in 2016 going through some of the lowest points of my life, “thinking to myself, this is a place you’ll never leave”. Now it serves as a haunting reminder of where I was, and that I was able to leave. This song single-handedly got me through some dark times. Thank you.
He has the voice of a man that has an agreement with the reeper. Like they understand each other and he's seen more than his share of souls start their journey.
It’s like a mesh of Eddie Vedder and Chris Cornell. His voice and guitar Melody’s are absolutely hypnotic. Love his music across the board. Really takes you away. Especially as a Veteran, I love to see when someone can paint a picture of us in their songs. The Whistler is probably my favorite.
Brother , some of us are called to be lonely travelers on a hard Road . On this side of the grave we may never know why. But we must keep on keeping on until we’re called home .....Peace
I listened to White Buffalo - This Sunday filled with sadness and pain quite literally cos I had two broken legs, And other things happening, I’m not gonna say. I’d got a point where I’d almost given up, off my head on bed rest & meds. I just spent a joyous time dancing and moving from the waist up. Saying a silent prayer- to heaven, cause your music took me there! And I didn’t feel sorrow or stuck- only the rhythm of life and a guitar and a voice - a million blessings for your songs, that gave me back some peace, and a few hours doing something of my choice. MY LAST CALL TO HEAVEN Your songs answer a lonely place, in my Heart where only Spirit yearns to be. Something other than grief to embrace. Conjures Ancient feelings trapped like mountain mist, as it struggles, to get free! Surrendering to the bliss, like the Kiss of a Mothers - Tongue, a Silent Prayer for Me... Joy worth more than any gold coins, Inspiration for Me to write this poem! Not dead inside either - and tho I mourned the loss of freedom, I know I am a survivor. And even tho I’ve been to hell and back! Playing the devils cruel games, of human chess, I know, that slider - riff - guitar - rhythm - beat each strum and thwack! Memories of a teenager White Queen, just overcome by sex - And only Music healed her. I walked that hard road from a tender 13 age. Writing and performing poems, about Flesh and Blood and All of That, driving home, sipping Napoleon Brandy from a different Kind of Cup. This song that rips my heart-torn words right from these pages, hoping salvation will atone. Days when I drank bitter Dreams, from the spider bottle of Eden, cause life had fallen from my clutch. I’ve been that lonely girl, sadness the colour blue - so am really loving the words of your song, Your - Sympathetic - Skill, with, Musical Harmony, to silence that coal black diamond hole. Letting the light stream thru! Your Words that crawled inside my head and bled life into my unblessed soul! Guess, we all Black Lung surviver’s, painting our hearts with crimson lies, toasting our naked dead. Our grieving memories and some buddies from yesterday. Filling my Johnny Walker head, with Southern Comfort trying to remember how it was - a thousand lifetimes away. A bottle of Tequilas, rising up to greet the Moon, the tortured flames echoing in my gut. Singing “its all over” for this tired, war torn Soldier, of Light, as she Fell - all out of luck! Knee deep in this misery Monsoon, my Soul all unwashed. When I heard Your - tender Voice, this Sunday morning, and realised, that I’m Girl Found, not a Fallen Star that’s Lost. A Voice like it was Fresh from the Gravel-pit, like it came from Hell itself, with the Devil riding close behind. Offering the silent sting of a Thorny-Crown and coffers for my Wealth. Well, I guess we’ve all been to Johnny Town, and been a little out of our minds - on dregs from that, left over Vine! Penance for my time, Laughing, riding silver-pink Seahorses, Bridled Passions - Briny - Foam. Drunken nights, thinking I was Swimming not Drowning, in moonlit hot wired Waves, and we all know, it’s “My Last Call to Heaven” when the Silence - stuns the heart, to recognise, the only Blood Wine, that truly Saves. Many Thanks Your Music Rocks My Soul! Jasmine king 8.5.22 Xx 🥰🐆❤️🩹💕🎶👍🥁 🙏
Beautiful and amazing, hurtful and true. Thank you for one of the best live shows I have seen since I was born 35 years ago. Just few days ago you were playing at Tivoli, at Utrecht.
I have to say something about this live acoustic version is so much more powerful than the LP version... It's like I can taste the raw emotion, being able to watch his facial expression and body language helps I suppose. Both this and the album version are excellent, but I find myself listening to this version far more often!
This man is f..ing amazeing. The music he makes speaks to alot of people. The one thing I've learned on my time here is this. People talk about all their B.S, but if they open their ears an heart's music can fix all old family shit. An help open communication

I just discovered your music today. You touched my soul with your lyrics, sweet voice and lulling guitar picking. Thank you for having me feel these feelings
this is why God made humans. For the ones that can sing like this, for the ones that can express all the best and the worst that people can be. This voice is as beautiful and moving as a sunset or an ocean. Its more than him. He was blessed enough to have the gift of that voice and the mind state to perform the way he does. Its his responsibility to make this music. That must be a heavy weight on him. To have all that inside of you is like being strapped to a comet. Thank you for letting this out. Please dont ever stop.
actually God made humans for redemption. We broke His old testament with Him so He came down as a man and saved us and started a new testament (covenant)
We didn't just break His old testament or covenant... We sought, and continue to seek, out authority and kingship over ourselves rather than acknowledging and submitting to His
This accentuates what I think people love about acoustic guitar work. Not just playing guitar, but PLAYING THE GUITAR. Not just just the notes but the physicality added to them. Softly strumming and then forcefully. A real performance
I got turned on to this music by a dear friend of mine. He was told to listen to Come Join the Murder, he was not sure why at the time. Since then we have listened to all of his songs and cannot stop! I truly love his voice and his story telling songs. It gets me through some tough times and sooths my soul. ♡♡♡
Raw and real.. I could listen to Jake every day and never tire of his voice and his lyrics. HIs songs tell stories that the common man/woman can relate to. The only thing better than listening on youtube is seeing this man perform live. He just emanates emotion and power.
This really threw me off guard. I dont think I've ever heard a song that I understood as much as this one. Really hit me hard. Damn. New favorite song.
Is my brother in the midst of darkness with weight down on his shoulders holdin out for the blessing of daylight to fall on him? I speak this in my own way. I pray for a hero to lift you up, one whos life would be laid in the dust for yours in a heart beat. God bless you brother.
I've found songs in the most recent years that I really like, even love. But this...this is something else, everything about it speaks to me. Can't think of an adequate word to describe how much I like this song.
You can almost connect a story with his songs. Start with Oh Darlin, then I got you, then last call to heaven and finally the whistler.....something like that...
This song express the way i live, it’s my favorite song so far, i never get sick of it and i play it daily i love everything in it i hope someday i could listen to it live
