Thanks for the quiche reminder. I love it, and just forgot about it. I went through my freezer yesterday, and 'found' my stock of bacon, so it is quiche this weekend!
I make quiche often. I have a very easy no-roll crust recipe that uses pantry ingredients I always have on hand. Mix 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour with 1 teaspoon salt and 2 tsp. sugar. Add 2 tablespoons milk and 1/2 cup canola oil. Mix, then press into a pie plate with your fingers. I then add my filling and bake 45 minutes or so. It always comes out great!
I have been doing crustless quiche, breakfast bake and stratas for years since my dieting days way back when, they are great for breakfast, lunch or dinner and also for Christmas mornings just make ahead and pop in the oven and you have a great tasting breakfast for all. They freeze beautifully as well;)
I am new and have watched several of your videos and enjoyed every one. This is a time for all to learn saving techniques. I feel that there will be a shortage this winter. I'm 82 and am always looking cheaper ways of doing everything. God bless.
I buy a chunk of cheese and grate myself...so good. Xmas brunch I'm doing a prime rib. In the past I usually did shrimp and cheese grits. I wanted to change it up a little this year. We're in the 70s today....warming up....hate the cold.
Congratulations to all the winners. We don’t have many coupons deals in Australia but I always check the clearance racks and this week I found some fantastic bargains and each were marked down to just a few cents. Great video Emmy ❤️
What a great frugal haul! Quiche is a great thing. Such an awesome dish high in protein and you really can make one w/ any ingredients you have on hand for veggies, meats.
Great haul! Bargains are SO much harder to find these days. Our local store (Market Basket) doesn't do its own coupons but they do great mark-downs on items coming up on expiration. These deals are harder to find these days but I keep my eyes open! I am happy to report egg prices in my area has come back down to almost normal. Great news for those of us who love them!
Wow, what a great mini haul, Emmy! I think you have frugal grocery shopping down to a science! I do so enjoy all your frugal living tips! & look forward to each one!
This looks so good. I think I'm going to make this tonight for dinner. It's just me tonight all of my kids are at their fathers for the weekend so I'm going to make a very small little mini quiche. It would be a great way to use up some leftovers, am I just love quiche.
I'm a vegan, I haven't eaten meat in over 25 years, and I'm allergic to eggs, Dairy, Chocolate, poultry, grains, & nuts & more. I precook a lot of my veggies in the steamer, and I divide the steamed veggies into portions and i put them into food saver bags, this way I never throw out vegetables, i reuse the bags to save money. If I order a pizza I load it with veggies, and ask for the gluten free crust. When I ate meat, and Dairy etc. I was 40 pounds over weight on a nebulizer everyday. at 73, my hair has no white/ or gray, i'm 5' 5" and 130 pounds, My mom made Quiche a lot it smelled wonderful, I wish I could have had it.
Congratulations winners! Very frugal mini-haul. We don’t have Acme in Washington state, but those are great digital coupons. I went to Fred Meyer (Kroger) this morning (mask on). I am brand loyal to all Free and Clear (my sweetie has sensitive skin). It was one of the 15-20 items that you could get for $1 off each if you buy a combo of any 5 items. In this case, $2.99 - $1 = $1.99 for all detergent. I bought five 19-pod size, but could have purchased the 24 load liquid for the same price. They also had Darigold butter (regional?) for $1.99/lb (no minimum or maximum limit) but I didn’t need any. Quiche sounds like a great change of pace dinner for comfort food heavy quarantine and that looks delicious.
I’m letting the bacon, sautéed, onions, wilted spinach and mushrooms cool. I sat down to slice Cherry tomatoes. Our favorite omelet is same minus spinach and the bacon on the side. Oven is hot. Quiche tonight!
It was delicious and we both enjoyed it. We aren’t crust fans, so it was perfect. I overdid the fillings, so I added more eggs. It wouldn’t fit a pie pan, so I baked it in a 8x11 pan. It was about an inch thick and loaded. I’ll send you a picture. Thank you.
I love eggs and they are so versatile and economical. I have made this crust less quiche often and also a breakfast tater tot casserole with veggies and meat. So yummy!
Funny how you said two half gallons of ice cream. We forget that it is no longer half a gallon, it's 1.5 qt. Another one of those shifty things they did to give you less product than you were used to. Just catching up on some videos I missed and since this is one of my pet peeves, I had to mention it. Merry Christmas!
Wish we had coupons in Australia . You are a real master at this frugal shopping and I am enjoying putting some of your ideas into practice . Love this . You are helping a lot of people besides me . God bless you Emmy .🌹🌹🌹
If you want to have a base on the bottom of the quiche there is a recipe that involves adding flour into the mix. It goes to the bottom while cooking and is very nice. I think it is an old Tupperware recipe. Cheers
Good morning! Crustless quiche! How wonderful! I never thought of that, what a great idea!!! Thank you for sharing this recipe with us!!! Your shopping trip was certainly a big money saver!!! Great deals! Have a great week!
Great video. Have you ever tried the Bisquick quiches. 1 cup bisquick, milk, and 2 eggs. You can make your own Bisquick easily so you can save that cost.
I don't know if your stores have clearance areas but I work for Kroger and we Mark stuff down all the time I just got Smuckers strawberry jelly that's regular like 399 for 99 cents a jar cuz we had too much and we marked it down it's good for 2022 and I'm single but I'll put them up and have a PB&j or butter and toast so just an idea for anybody out there looking them clearance
@@FrugalMoneySaver I didn't think so because my mom used to live in New Jersey but it wasn't really sure but I figured I'd put it out there in case anybody else did
Congratulions to all the winners beautiful gift. Emmy will try your quiche on Sunday and will let you know how it is. Great food haul, the food here in the U.K. is going up as well.
The quiche looks amazing! Will try it for sure though I do love pie crust I rarely have a frozen one around and it is a bit of a mess to make. Have you ever used an olive oil sprayer? My DIL gave me one and I love it for so many things. Keeps you from pouring too much. Carole
I am really enjoying your channeI. You are a delight to watch. have made crustless quiche for years. It cuts the calories, or in my case carbs. Delicious. I also make crustless pumpkin pie for the same reason. For a lower carb pumpkin filling, I use canned coconut milk and a brown sugar substitute. Also delicious.

Yes, we had one once lol!
The quiche looks lovely-is it similar to a Frittata? ❤
Similar, but more like a quiche without the crust lol.
Love skipping a crust. Skips the fat and calories too!
