Japanese craftmanship always beats everything, but the best part from Patrick's reviews comes from the riffs he produces when he plays with a specific tone: he plays the right bass riff for THAT tone, even with the right effects if needed. Amazing.
Man I love your reviews. You and Jonny Dibble are the only dudes reviewing basses the way I like it. Thumping them with a pick, playing hard and heavy. Love it man.
The specs, sound, and price point on Vola instruments are always spot on, I just wish I could like the looks, because I just can't stand the pointy body
1) Is the bridge pickup hum free. 2) Is the neck up hum free 3) Does the maple neck have graphite stabilizer rods. Very nice review of a quality build bass.
I could get over the ugly headstock, but that crazy shark fin thing at the bottom of the body makes the whole bass look like one of those budget BC Rich basses from the early 2000's 😂
I really like my Yamaha bb734a but I wish I knew this bass existed then. I would have probably pulled the trigger on a Vola. Wish you played this with some Darkglass gear for the video.
Most everything the Japanese do - is Top Quality. They have Pride, Respect and a phenomenal Work-Ethic. ( I've been there ) = it's Genuine. oNe LovE from NYC
Would be super cool if (are you watching, Vola?...) the charcoal one had a rosewood 'board, and they offered an ebony/Richlite fretless one as well......
Not my cup of tea looks wise. It reminds me of the RG bass from Ibanez. Sounds great and looks well made, love the cut out for upper fret access. For what you get I think I agree it seems to be a great deal.
@@jasondorsey7110 I'll be honest I like it better than a jazz bass. I own a PJ equipped P bass. I prefer the symmetrical bottom. This bass looks better than a lot of the other basses for $1000 and a nice EQ to boot.

U got a vola bass and dont plays Vola songs? Patrick....
BRO DO YOU THINK I AM EVEN ABLE TO PLAY VOLA SONGS????
@@patrickhunter That s not the attitude >:(
Okay, 4 string is sweet but did you see the 5? Oh My.... Great Job as always Patrick! 🤘🤘🤘🎸🎸🎸
Was that a light jazz reharmonization of FCPREMIX by Fall of Troy?
I heard it too lol
That would be a sick headstock if it was reverse.
Whoa, it really would.
Holy hell, that’d be soooo badass!
@@patrickhunter pl ask them they ship the fiver for you to try 😁
Honestly, at around the 1k proce point there are a lot of phenomenal options. Diminishing returns and all that
Handmade in Japan ?! 😮

Why would it be Japanese or not make any difference...?

Appreciate it hermano! And yeah Jonny is the MAN! Love that guy!

A p pickup by definition is hum canceling.

Just curious as to the weight of the bass?
I'm pretty sure the MF at the end stands for MOTHA FFFFF
Does passive mode have a passive tone control?
Sounds damn good.
You think you’re slick with that FCPSITSGEPGEPGEP line

Awesome demo, Patrick 😎🤘🏻🎸 that bass has a nice retro look and a pretty cool tone
I bet ZVA4PMF sounds better in Japanese
I love and I'm going to get one. That's what a bass should sound like anyway to me. Peace
This would be super cool in medium scale; thanks for the review!
Cool piece of gear ❤❤❤❤
You got some tasty riffs there mah boi 😮
How much does it weigh?
sound tasty

Even the pickguard shape has a '90s ibanez vibe
