You can still find a decent American Fender but the Japanese seem more consistent in quality. I have 3x Fender Japan JB Reissues, 1x Jaguar Reissue and a FGN JB (yeah, I went down the Japanese rabbit hole hard). All the necks are immaculate. I recommend Kinko Music, Ishibashi and Danny Stewart 🍺🇨🇦
It’s a shame the bass hasn’t had a set up before the review. Some notes are choking out and there is string buzz. I think they got it wrong with that headstock, very wrong. Good review though playing different styles and options.
Hmm, it’s set up really well out of the box tbh! What you’re hearing is just fresh strings and lots of attack. String noise isn’t always a bad thing ☺️
It's sounds amazing, but I'm not a fan of long thin pointy head stocks! The built quality is will always be above and beyond, that's just how they roll in Japan 🗻

I play Yamaha basses too. Especially since I’m a huge Yamaha fan. They’re underrated, awesome sounding, and they have unique designs.
It's always good to see what lesser known brands are doing, especially when they aren't making just another Fender shaped bass.
