I have around 150m of rope, but my spool could hold another 100-150m. The only reason I don't have the extra is because it costs a lot for spectra. cheers mate, hopefully your wake missions in Spain work out!
+31kartman cheers for that!! the winch engine is 6.5 hp. We made the spool diameter around 20cm, the sprocket of the top of my head is 72t, 12t and has a torque converter also. Any more questions let me know. Cheers
We have some pins, like tent pegs but steel. They go at the back of the winch and then we strap the winch to the pegs. Pretty much do the same where ever we go. With sand however, the front digs in so you have to re adjust every now and then. Thanks!!
Man this is such a great idea! I've never seen this before until earlier today. A project that has now been added to my to-do list. Great video 👍
Hey! Dope! I built one for myself too. How wide is this channel? Do you think it is possible to have fun on 5m wide track?
That's outside the waihi top 10 holiday park
Is it fuel or battery powered ? cheers
Hey man, what kind of winch do you use?
How long is your rope please? Your video and this place is beautiful!! I'm in Spain and about to get my wake season going :) Cheers

Cheers from over here in Australia
How did you anchor it in the sand? I'm interested in taking my winch to the beach someday. Great Video!

Is it difficult to walk you rope out? I built a similar set up with a torque converter and it is very challenging to get our rope off the spool
Yea it can be. Use the winch operator to pull out the rope as the wakeboarder is going out.Works a charm. Cheers
Hi, I will make a winch with 16hp engine, is it necesary to put a torque converter? Or a centrifugal clutch is ok?
That's VERY powerful for a winch, so be careful. A centrifugal clutch is preferred if you didn't figure that out!
I'm guessing drone was hand controlled if it's a P3. If so amazing love this video!
Yea I fly mostly with hand controls. Better that way if you have to follow an object thats travelling fast. Cheers
did you make it or purchase it?
George C 100% New Zealand made by us. Thanks Dude
Dan T where can you buy a winch for wakeboarding
Cool :-)
+RaR Studio thanks!!
Waihi beach I live there
