A wife maybe can forgive, but can she truly forget everything. ?? Everytime, his husband try to be intimate with her, could her mind stop having flash back images of those same intimate moments he had with his mistress. Could the wife totally forget those betrayals & offer her peace of mind & self confidence. Could she regain her trust on him which he got broken. Trust is like a mirror, once broken could never be mended & regained. To live with a cheating husband you could never trust 100% is more damaging & uncomfortable. It would take a lot of sacrifices & burden on the part of the agrieved wife, than on the cheating husband. For men they believe tht once apology is said is enough, leaving the mistress & reuniting wjth wjfe is more than enough to earn him forgiveness. He has not considered that betrayal of trust has greater impact on the self esteem, psychological, emotional & social elements or factors for a harmonious & happy family life. Wife will never 100% assurance that the cheating will turn completely into a good person. There is always flicker of doubt & uncertainry on the part of the wife. Once a cheater is alwsys a cheater once given an opportunity. She will surebe assured that he will not do it again only when he is lying dead in his coffin. This situation is unfajr & unjust for an agrieved wife. That's wby many women nowadays prefer to live a happy, free single life that put herself in a trap where a cheating husband will have the opportunity to cheat on her.
