I absolutely love your videos and only discovered them a month ago, but, they've already comforted me during this scary time of not one but TWO cancer scares, first a loved one and then myself. I, too, collect dolls and toys and you are my favorite youtube channel for this hobby. Thank you so much for the relatability, the entertainment, the fun, and kind, considerate manners in each video. I'm glad you like the 2011/2012 hyper-stylized ones like that silly giraffe because I love them too. I did not have LPS when I was young - I probably was 'young enough' for the earliest hasbro ones but I'm a doll girl. My younger sister did have a sizable collection and I liked to play with them with her as a young teen and did think they were really cute. They've always been on the back of my mind and so my collector brain had to go and learn more after watching this video. Those stylized ones (what gen people call them is so all over the place - 3? 4?) I knew immediately were not going to be loved by the nostalgia kids, but as someone with zero stake and zero bias in LPS, and someone who is a graphic designer/illustrator, they just are really neat. I researched the concept artist too and I want to write like a little write up about her, what I think the inspiration and motivations were, and what I like about them and why.
The LPS kids also seem to be have these weird violent reactions more than the doll community?? I started seeing lots of 'kill them' comments on reddit. Doll collectors even when they don't like something don't have homicidal tendencies towards them usually. I have this theory that kids who were doll kids were always nicer to their toys. Kids who were more non-human, non-fashion figure kids seem to be more the type to boast about ripping dolls heads off or otherwise being destructive with them for fun, which horrified me as a child for its violence and brattiness. Anyway, I think that's why these collecting communities seem to be different in this regard lol

My now adult daughter loved LPS. I still had some at home so I gave them to my preschooler. She fell in love. I happened to go to the goodwill outlet nearby and dug around and found a ton of LPS. My small child is so happy. So LPS is going through generations. Same thing with MLP. She loves the old and new.
Gen 6 is SO good!! I can't believe people dislike it!? Some of my favorite pets are from that generation!
I found LPs at my local five below because their for easter time I’m so excited to find them t my Walmart because sometimes we don’t get the stuff that people want or sometimes get them late then other places and plus I live in a small town
I got G7 too!!! They finally turned up at Smyth toys. I was only going to get the pet pair with the axolotl, but they are running a promotion where you'd get the brown dog (number 60 I think?) from the farm set for free if you buy a blind box. Like, packaged seperately in a little blister. So of course I had to take advantage of that.
I will always have a soft spot for the gen 2 LSPs. They are just so nostalgic to me.

i got my first ever lps today - the little green caterpillar from G7 - and i love him so much heheh : 3 i didnt have any as a kid but i LOVED how they looked and thought they were so cute...i love all the ones you got!! also the view of the collection behind you is so colorful!

Lots of good finds. I mostly collect G2 but there were some underrated pets in G5/6 tbh. 19:14 I had a similar situation and also traveled an hour away (twice lol) to get some of the new g7 LPS since stores by me don't seem to carry them yet
Customizers do enjoy doubles because they can customize the double they have so maybe basic fun is thinking of not only collectors but customizers to for some bases that are the same but im not sure
Gen 6 is my favourite and The World of Our Own is my second favourite hasbro tv show
god I wish I could dig my lps out of storage everytime you talk about them. also I never understood the magnet safety hazard thing, I still have my well love lps with both the pink magnets and the blue magnets and not a single one has fallen out, also they had cooler accessories like the food bowls that opened from the magnets (which I used to run my thumb over then super fast because the friction used to also pop them open)

Honestly the only littlest pet shop gens I collect is gen 1 2 and 7 i dont hate the ones that came after 2 so 3 4 5 and 6 but it’s not ones I prefer but hey it’s just my opinion

I wonder how you can get the cards for the other pets in the playsets or if it's a random card. 🤔 It would suck if you had to keep buying the same set over and over to try and get all the cards...😑🤷♀️
The hole on the top is probably to stop kids from suffocating if they get their face stuck.
