These people were not converted but they have the same colonial mentality their ancestors had by taking resources and knowledge that was not theirs and claim it as theirs and use call it by another name. This is not dharma. This is against dharma. Iskcon is ati veda. They give janeu to mlecchas(muslim) and yavanas( westerners) which is prohibited in vedas and shastras.

@Aditya Tomar Lord Krishna has given knowledge of attainment of God as well as excellent deeds for human beings. He never said that man should not marry. Rather, all our great ancient Rishis lived in this sacred relationship and made many inventions and creations.
Think if our ancestors do not do this, then the development of civilization would not be possible. Lord Krishna himself had 3 wives. And married his sister Subhadra ji to his disciple / friend Arjun. Bhakti is done with emotion and not with pomp. What kind of religion would it be for a man to be born and to abandon the karma of human beings. Religion makes sense of duty rather than wasting time in courtesans. Hare Krishna......

But it is not at all that married men or women cannot achieve their goals. And yes, I do not even have a connection with Iskcon. But Iskcon is completing the unfinished work of Shankaracharya. @Aditya Tomar Yes, I have also heard Shree Shankaracharya, he is against ISKON. But what has Shankaracharya done. Apart from just giving knowledge of Hinduism to Hindus? Did he give up his comfort and go to some other country and make non-Hindus aware of the characteristics of Sanatan Dharma? No.
The elemental knowledge of the great Adi Shankara is very unique and pure. While the Buddhists took the teachings of Gautam Buddha to 36 countries, all the Shankaracharyas resided in the monasteries. Shri Puri Shankaracharya is very knowledgeable but could not reconcile with time.
Shankaracharys never discharged his responsibilities to those who were made Muslim by the Muslim power. Shouldn't Shankaracharys bring them back to the Sanatan civilization and do the work of purification of them? Shouldn't they have acted to revive the faith of the fragmented Sanatan Dharma? Now who is doing this work? Think up

Manusmriti 2.12
वेदः स्मृतिः सदाचारः स्वस्य च प्रियमात्मनः।
एतच्चतुर्विधम प्राहुः साक्षाद् धर्मस्य लक्षणम॥
Here manu maharaj gives 4 basic definitions for dharma. They are
1. Based on vedas
2. Based on smritis,puranas and conduct of great rishis
3. Based on conduct of great men like bhishma,etc and ancestral tradition
4. Based on logic that doesn't defy shāstras
This means anything which is acceptable to vedas,smritis,shrutis,puranas and itihas is acceptable in hinduism. If hinduism is a tree then its roots are shastras.
If one defy shastra he/she should not be accepted in dharma. If one doesn't follow the rules of shastra he/she should have jo right to moksha,svarga,yajna,lakshmi(in any of her form),veda and he/she will go to narka.
Even bhagvad Gita says. One who defy shastras will never attain eternal happiness and moksha.

My interpretation is that Indians always knew the concept of energy and cosmic world.. we Indians knew that everything begins and ends in energy.. fire is one such representative form of that energy.. So we rever and bow before it as we take a step forward to commit ourselves into the bond of marriage for lifetime.. we do it before that ultimate form of energy (seeking its blessing and considering it as the witness to the promises bride and groom make to each other before sealing the bond forever) ..

I am really amazed and shocked at the same time to see that foreigners , non Indians are doing hare krishna hindu weddings. Practically after this wedding these two beautiful persons have become Vaishnav and Vaishnavi. It is so heartening to see that the foreigners are upholding the true spirit of Hinduism while Indians are tending to forget their own rich culture and sometimes feel ashamed of that. Such is the power of Hinduism that one day it would be not the Indians only but the whole world would embrace Hinduism and uphold the spirituality.

this is another kind of Hindu marriage ceremony and as all the other rituals this is so pure and of course fun. But as a Bengali girl I didn’t find the grandeur in the ceremony. I love their way of embracing the essence of Hindu Religion very much, live a wonderful life dears. ☺☺
