    I'm absolutely thrilled with the results I'm getting with this process, it's beautiful, and the amount of subtle detail you can achieve is gorgeous.
    In figuring out how to make a screen stencil, I found the EZScreen Print website helpful. I ordered some of their stencils, and it's a pretty straight forward process. I live in the northwest of the US where it's cloudy a lot, so I've been using a UV exposure unit. The EZScreen Print product works really well, it's totally clear when you've exposed it correctly (3 minutes with my unit). With the standard screen, the Akua carborundum Gel applies well and evenly.
    I would be interested to hear here how to make a machine-based stencil. Thanks.

    I wish you would start from the beginning steps, I'm just learning and don't really get what Carborundum Gel is from this video.

    I don't get it. Lots of questions go unanswered. Are there stencils used? How are the stencils made? Can Carborundum Gel be used without a stencil? Etc, etc.

    What kind of stencil is Susan using in the demo? She mentions silkscreen and plastic...

    • @akuaprintshop4511
      @akuaprintshop4511  7 лет назад

      That is correct, Susan uses both a silkscreen and machine-made plastic stencil in this video. Let me know if you have any other questions

    • @akuaprintshop4511
      @akuaprintshop4511  7 лет назад

      The silkscreen was made from a film positive printed on an inkjet printer and exposed to a coated screen. The mesh used is 110 monofilament.

      Would the first step in this video (www.wikihow.com/Make-Silk-Screen-Stencils)explain how this stencil is made? I am most interested in making my own from my own photographs, While I have printed for years, I have never used a silkscreen stencil.Thank you for your feedback .
