I think the new transition animations look great, but it doesn't matter if it's Android or Gnome - I turn off all UI transition animations for speed. Those milliseconds waiting for something to render add up and I like my phone/machine to feel fast and responsive as opposed to smooth and fluid. Does anyone else disable animations for snappiness?
