Alberta minister provides update on wildfires - August 1, 2024

In a virtual news conference, Alberta Communities Minister Jason Nixon provides an update on the ongoing wildfire situation in the province.
He is joined by Joe Zatylny, deputy managing director of the Alberta Emergency Management Agency, and Christie Tucker, information unit manager with Alberta Wildfire.
There are currently 118 wildfires burning in the province, with 19 of them classified as out of control.
