Railfanning Wyandotte Michigan!

- On a fine spring evening we spent a couple hours railfanning in Wyandotte Michigan. Here four rail lines can be seen in the same spot running between Detroit and Monroe Michigan. These lines can provide quite a bit of action in a day or evening so it is always nice to sit back and watch some trains at the old depot.

Brings back memories, I grew up in that neighborhood. I lived about four blocks away from the railroad crossing on Oak St. (which is where a majority of this video was taken).There used to be an old rail station that was turned into a VFW Hall, I think it was torn down though. I kept pausing it during the drone flight to see familiar sights, thanks for the flight down memory lane.
You’ve just earned a subscriber. This is probably one of the best railfanning videos there is. The drone angles are super cool, and even the stills are impressive with how you show the coming night sky. But the fact you narrate these videos and explain what’s happening is even better!
I used hop those trains 100’s of times off Vinewood, Oak to Northline to Alkali.

I caught the NS 8098 in Wyandotte
Actually the first train is M391. M382 doesn't run until 10:00 at night usually.
And the coke train is actually 414 because 420 has the high top cars.

yes it is safe and can get decent amount of trains as well
How much traffic can you see like in 2 or 3 hours and how what days is it busy. I know the weekends are pretty much dead on both NS and CN lines
