    Shocked looking back that you found this for $15,000 at 40K miles. It is now 2023, and I just paid cash for a “Sport” trim - $16,056 at 60K miles that I had to negotiate down. Thank you for your real world perspective.

    I bought a 2018 Mazda 6 this week. After 4 days I have to say.... I don't miss my BMW 5 series at all... The Mazda 6 is such a great car. It's a real pleasure to drive it. There's really nothing bad to say about it. If I had known this 4 years ago, I never would have bought the BMW. It cost me double what I paid for the Mazda and it had half the options. And I have to say... The Mazda looks a lot better than the BMW 5. It handles better to.

    One thing I don’t like about it it’s that the side mirrors aren’t heated and take a while to defrost . Another problem I’m having is that the front alert crashing sensor keeps tripping on icy or very big windy or rainier days , After the sensors clears the alert malfunction goes out. I love the car and changing the led bulbs, adding fog lights and changing the auto headlight switch made a big difference and it looks more sportier and appealing.... overall is a great car , no problem with maintenance.... I would definitely recommend this car if you’re a looking for a 5 person car, with confortable seating . Great updated video !!!

      Getting LED headlights is a must. That’s the first thing I changed out on the 17 6 I had. Once you have LED you’ll never go back. The difference especially on dark rural roads is astounding..

    Stock rotors on my Mazda six warped really easy, I’ve been getting upgraded brakes from rock auto, slotted drilled rotors. Brakes last 65K now. My 2010 Mazda six has almost 318 K.

      Got car in Jan ‘15 w/ 42K. Been doing Uber/Lyft in Chicago so I drive like I am driving Miss Daisy, easy. Been changing trans fluid, just the fluid, about 150K on every 30-40 K, adding Lucas w/ the new fluid. Trans is definitely tired, but still the original at 331K miles now. If I finesse the throttle it can drive smooth.
      My 2011 parts car is an updated model, the trans doesn’t have dipstick, I believe it is the same transmission though, and will go right in my 2010.

    • @Toguro-oy3ld
      @Toguro-oy3ld 3 года назад +3

      I started changing the trans fluid around 150 K, then I just change the fluid, drain the plug and refill with Lucas and fluid every 30-40K. Over time I’ve had axle seals go which pours out fluid sometimes. Watch for that coming out of those plastic covers underneath.

    Does Mazda put parking assist sensors on the Mazda6? I've looked at plenty of videos, including many of the Grand Touring, and I don't see any of those little circular sensors on the front or rear bumpers. Are the sensors just under the plastic bumpers, where they are not visible? Or do they just not have them?

    I have a 2017 Mazda 6 GT. I LOVE THIS CAR for the most part. The only problem I’ve had is that the infotainment system sometimes goes SQUIRRELY on its own. I mean I can be driving or sitting stationary with the car on, and the car will literally start to jump through different menus, changing stations, dimming lights, jumping from app to app. Mazda won’t help. Oh, and my infotainment system starts right up when I start the car. No delays like the presenter in this video. I plant to upgrade to Apple car play in the near future. But a few people having the same display issues say that I should replace the screen unit first. Apparently, after about three to five years it (infotainment screen) becomes heat damaged. Hopefully, that alleviates the issue.DEFINITELY use a windshield sunscreen or place a white (or light colored) towel over your screen before you leave your car when it’s hot out.

    • @buchajo
      @buchajo 3 года назад

      All depends on trim level....

    • @buchajo
      @buchajo 3 года назад +1

      Consider a 16 GT instead of lower trim 17. I had a 17 Touring with PP and it was nice but doing it again I’d go for a fully loaded 16. Get the signature LED lighting and that gorgeous grille light bar.... and all the rest. Cosmetically not much difference between those years otherwise. I think you can get a lower mileage 16 GT in good shape for 16-18k if you’re willing to drive out of state.......
      The one (con) area you may notice with regard to 16 vs newer is NVH. Mazda improves this year over year. I’ve had a 17 6 and 18 CX5 and now 20 CX5 and 20 3 hatch and clearly see/hear differences between all .... but otherwise I’d have no problem at all getting into a 16 or 17. Also a lot of the safety features that are now standard on Mazda’s newest models may not necessarily be present on older models unless you get the highest trims...

      The Kondo design vehicles from 2012 to present do not have any real problems with their air conditioners.

      Maybe I got lucky, but my Mazda has the best AC I've ever experienced. My previous car's simply refused to work despite numerous recharges, and my mother's Honda has AC that inexplicably smells like rotting vegetables all the time. My Mazda is 5 years old and has no mention of an AC recharge in its service history, yet it blows ice cold, stink-free air every time. I do wish the damn driver's seat would stop creaking, but other than that, it's an excellent car.

      It might be a fault in your car.
