Imo, it's not possible to KNOW the composers intent and even if we do think we KNOW, how are we to translate that into music making? Even if a living composer tells us what they want, we can only make an approximation as to apply that to a performance. With that being said, why is it apparently, that there is so much stress that we interpret something with the composer in mind> WHY?
