@@dekuscrub3061 ive been playing for a while but this was the first graduation I did- i wondered why the other horn player was doing it on mellophone then I realized-
Those bastards. (For trombone) is all quarter notes for the most part. This song is SURPRISINGLY hard to play when playing it multiple times, and even for quarter note!
The reason why they walk slow because the parents want to see their child in their cap and gown and I spoke from experience and they have to walk together at the same time and pace
Just got this today in band class, and i was so emotional when i saw 1st clarinet at the top. Me and a friend of mine always play 2nd clarinet, but since our 1st clarinet player will be graduating, we are the new 1st clarinets! I was so fucking emotional.
Ever since my own graduation in 1995, every time I've attended someone's graduation (regardless of whether or not they're a family member), I've always started getting choked up when the music starts. I don't know whether it's because the music's too loud, or what it is.
It's the association with the end of an era that may trigger those feelings, those who are graduating are moving on which can be bittersweet. Also when the band plays slower, it makes it more likely to trigger feelings like that than when the band plays quickly.
I remember in high school like 14-18 years ago playing this and the school lost the original part for the first alto sax part so everyone had to play the second alto part
I played this last in 2008 on alto sax and I don't know why I was even playing it during class when I wasn't going to be playing it at my high school graduation. A section is better because I got to play the melody.
i play bari, and i had to play the tuba part for graduation bc our tuba player is really new and oh my GOODNESS my face and hands were falling off. nothing like staccato quarter notes for 15 minutes
As someone who just played the B part part 1 on French horn repeating over 20 times. I hate this now thank you✨🥲
As a fellow horn player, I agree! 😂
AAAYY now that's relatable i just switched to french horn like 2 weeks before my seniors grad and i had to play first part with 2 weeks of experience

@@EmoGhostBoy yeah that's why I'm playing mellophone for my senior year of marching band and French horn for concert season
Im about to play on trumpet
Very good, most used high school graduation processional song.
*T W E N T Y F O U R T I M E S*
24 TIMES I HAD TO PLAY THIS BECAUSE THEY WALKED SLOW ON PURPOSE
i would probably get up and throw my trumpet at them if they did that, and i'd make sure to spit all over it before i did
Those bastards.

Can’t wait to hear this play at my graduation ceremony next Friday
Aww, congratulations!! 😄
Thank you so much for posting this. This is the exact same one I played last year at my HS grad and this years it’ll be played for me
Class of 2023 🎉🎉

Can’t wait to play this song for 15 minutes trying not to cry🥲

Played this version every year at my high school. Glad I went to a small school and played timpani from what some of you folks say
this at 1.25x speed hits hard
Niiiiccccceeee This is simply magnificent..
1:18 is the one measure before b for all my part 1 trumpets
3:59 same here
I play 1st Trumpet too lol
This just brings back memories
As a trombone 1 player my lips or shredded thanks to you 🤓🤓
haha sucker
Now the underclassmen trombones can play this for me
trombone 1 part is easy fr
@GoId- it's not that it's hard since it's above the staff the entire song it's awful bc u play it on loop
Part A js better than part B let’s be real here
part b has more energy it’s more exciting to listen to
Tell that to the Oboe player

B better

here we go again lads
Same but with trombone
Had to play this in our grad band on euph, had to play it a solid 20 times, it’s a banger tho.
Hi I lost persussion parts
Bro the trombone part for this is brutal because every note was a quarter note staccato and after a while it hurts your chops.
What happened to percussion 😭
Very nice
I play this in everytime I beat a video game at 100%
Thank you!
Im playing this for graduation on monday lol
gonna have to play this like 30, times at graduation help me.
Yo same... Playing this tomorrow
bro, same spot here
If you're wondering, yes the band is losing it too
Yep... Trombone here. Even though it's just quarter notes, it drives me absolutely insane.
Hate when you have to play this like 15-20 times because the graduates are walking like turtles.
0:25
1:19
Ployhar spelling
I remember playing this at grad night fake playing because of how boring the bass clarinet part was
