Just put tape in and it seems to have "Cue & Review" when you let go of fast forward button it just continues to play. So it doesn't seem to search for blank spot.
My RS-TR355 was bought new in 1990 for $284 and just today stopped turning the take up spindle on the left deck #2. Did you make a video on changing the gears? Or do you know of a video on changing the gears? The take up spindle turns on fast forward but not on play, so is fast forward driven by a different belt or gear? BTW, I think it is confusing to have deck 2 on the left and deck 1 on the right - Must be an Asian thing.
@@mr.nobody5422 thanks for the tip. Acetone on a Q tip? And it is the screws holding the head that have the locktite? I have a set of Japanese cross head (Phillips?) screwdrivers that fit better than regular Phillips drivers so should be OK.
Thanks, Mr Nobody. I have one just like this. You remind me of the old Speedy Muffler tv ads: "At Speedy you're a SOMEBODY!"
Does this deck have Music Search? To find out, try fast forwarding or rewinding while on play, and the deck will automatically skip in-between tracks.
That's a great question. I never tried to see if it has song search. I'll have to try it out and see if it does.

@@mr.nobody5422 Well, I still think that feature is still more convenient than silent Fast forwarding or rewinding without track search
can you give me the link for that gear, please? thank you!
Ebay white plastic gear.

My Technics gear videos should help you.
Use acetone on locktite and proper sized screwdrivers. Be careful, take time don't strip screws.
