She controlled it so well tho, in season 3 she created a wind tornado/quake in her sleep. And other seasons we’ve seen her lose control (like her magic outbursts). So considering she had her humanity off (and dealing with Landon’s death), she handled it so well. Just goes to show how Hope has evolved as a person, and learnt to control her emotions better.

Her magic was going out of control she probably would have killed them based on her emotional instability and her magic taking them out
