Hi I am from Cape Town. Also studying Mandarin. I find it interesting that you say you from Durban and that you are Xhosa. Normally Durban is Zulu. Your Chinese is really ver good. How long have you been studying.

Why can't you be chinese? You could be born and raised there and have chinese passport...... Why chinese can Namibians,south Africans or Jamaicans? And black people CAN'T be chinese? My little Nephews are Black Chinese....... You dont have to be "ethnically" chinese.....
gen don't understand what you meant by this but there is a difference between nationality and ethnicity/race. If that is not (one of) the strongest gene(s) in your blood, then ultimately, it'd be inaccurate to identify as a part of that race. However, gaining residency in a country you are not native to (or that your parents, if you happen to be born in the country aren't native to), such as China is possible. Not being born there wasn't her choice lol
