But there were you see those houses it’s the town, but In other villages close to town are between R30-50k but they are also finishing soon. As in town (Thohoyandou) you can longer buy land from municipal as land is finished, so it’s very expensive coz now you must buy a land that’s owned by someone and they can charge whatever they want.

I do not think you have responded and address this question approprietly. Not all people who ask this question of the affordabilty are jealous but some honestly want the real secret on house such big beatiful houses are affordable. Some of us are lawyers, doctors, etc like Venda people. May the secret is availability of cheap but good quality materials or affordable builders unlike in other parts of the country
I don’t think the materials are cheap in Venda because they buy them in the same hardwares available across the country so they cannot only be cheap in Venda, for example you cannot say a Shoprite in Venda is cheaper compared to shoprite in Atteridgeville in Pretoria. The issue was that I have seen many comments on social about Venda people being criminals ( example about the 17 Makhado criminals who were shot). I also mentioned that the doctorers and lawyers that I know who build some of the houses are full time based in Venda, so they practice their professions in Venda, which makes one to afford land and build the house of their dreams as opposed to a lawyee or doctor who’s in JHB who has to have a bond in JHB and then think of building another expensive house in Venda, hope it makes sense.
