Great 'mini-tour' of the mountains! The V11 looks like a clear winner to me. Amazed you had so much battery left as well. There must be some damn efficient battery management going on there, because you didn't look like you were nursing it at any point. Great little bit of background history too - it's cool to put some of what we see in context. I'm definitely an '85%er'... just need the cash now! 😜
That shop and town is like a hidden gem. I love how you can explore with an EUC where you would normally not in a car or bike as its not that much fun. Again great video. Thank you
A great wheel no doubt, but I love looking at the scenery. Very different to what I see in the UK. Its nice to look up on Google Maps and see where you are. Big Country for sure.
The wheel is excellent but I love riding listening to music....waiting on one that collects those characteristics and includes music. As you said, there is no panacea...but may be 2021 is bringing surprises for all us the EUC enthusiasts. Nice vid Chooch. I enjoyed the scenery and your history lesson. TY!
Andy Han , yes I used to too but there’s danger when blocking external audio.....like approaching dogs etc. I quit using them. I simply play low vol when riding my 16x.
That’s fantastic that you were able to get 48 miles out of this incredible Wheel.I tried twice, about 28 miles is the furthest I’ve gotten before I had other things I had to get to... LOL. I absolutely agree though this wheel is amazing and I felt like I could go forever. I am amazed at how much I love the high pedals.
@@1cplpat Chooch is definitely lighter so that makes a difference and he also had some downhill riding to help regenerate some juice. I think Duf was only riding flat surface and like I said weighs more. Thats just from what I saw, I could be wrong thats just IMHO.
I grew up less than a mile from Gold Hill. Still love that area of the mountains immensely. I used to hitch hike to Ward and Ned just for adventure when I was in my teens. If I had had a EUC I would have had so much more fun but I still know every nook and cranny from Ned to Allens Park even by hiking and biking.
Greetings from NYC. I just found your channel and really enjoyed your video as well as the History lesson to go along. Such a beautiful ride. I would absolutely love to live in a small town like that, but I'm sure I wouldn't be excepted. Thanks again for such an Awesome video. Stay safe out there :-)
Nice ride chooch looks super fun. Thx for the history lesson too I freakin love history too brotha. Btw if u don’t alrdy have it u gotta get a mirror on ur glove. Very useful dude
Hi Chooch, why I'd even go is so far to say it would be great for a third wheel, and it will be my third wheel! I wonder what the people in the cars immediately behind you as you were going down the mountain thought when they saw you weaving, seemingly floating, down the road, LOL. This video is a great testament to a great wheel!
Great video, great history feeling, and 48 miles and 36% battery, very impressive! My V11 has covered 750 miles so far, but I haven't done a range test yet. I can try, but with my 250lbs of weight for sure I won't go so far.
I think this video convinced me to go with the v11 over the sherman. I need to be realistic, i'm never going to ride enough to need a Sherman in one day!
so if you ride say 50/50 on road/off road would your recommend the s18 instead? both are amazing...love the channel. New rider, already looking at second wheel...Hooked man.
I've only ever seen EUC videos either on dirt trails meant for bikes or crowded city streets. Really interesting seeing it on more rural roads. Seems like an amazing experience.
V11 or s18, which is best for the money. What suspension it better. I live in Eugene Oregon and I'm getting ready to purchase one soon. Dont want to waste my money or get totally disappointed. Love my onewheel XR, but need more speed and range. Give me answers oh mighty Chooch, show me the way...lol... live the videos bro. Keep'm coming man.
Its a KEEPER!! In the app theres SCV correction. -2 is like a bike fork and steers REEEALLY NICE! I also ride straight leg and have been tossed by bumps.
@@stevescott5858 yes, I live around a lot of trails and side roads and the suspension helps tremendously and it's very solid on performance. Make sure to use handle killswitch when picking up over ledges since I tried skipping that and have been in the middle of replacing some parts because of it. (Which is my fault for not following clear instructions on proper use). Durability wise it has been able to handle driving in a Canadian winter (not recommended) and although it has suffered some blemishes, outer damage has been negligible. I would suggest putting some grip type of material on the sides or flightpads since the main area it feels lacking in is how well I can maneuver it from being a little slippery and a bit taller than other wheels
I’m loving your videos! I just discovered EUC’s last night…i honestly kind of thought they were silly till I saw what you could do on them! I’m a motorcycle rider and mountain biker, and these look SICK. How much will this v11 really recharge while you’re riding in the real world?
It charges alot where live coming down the mountains, but get one dude. Get a RS 19 as your first wheel if you have a background in mountainbikes. It is a great wheel
Love this video and your content... i should get my V11 this week. Do you narrate while riding? Also do you mind sharing what audio video cameras, mics you use to create your videos. Looks like a 360 cam and an action cam on your helmet, road mic for wind noise?
Thanks so much Gary! I use the insta 360 one r 360 one x canon 80D and sometimes laptop mic sometimes camera mica and sometimes a studio at 2020 microphone and focus rite scarlet 2i2 for voice over.
agree ill do some more historical cruises, gives me some incentive to do it. I enjoyed this and want to check out many more spots off the beaten path. Cheers!
Heels in toes out, rather than feet pointing directly forwards... That way your knees will have a natural bend while you stand and you get a bit more control over your sideways balance. When you stand up on the ground (no wheel) you'll have a stance similar to this.
Do you know if its ok to walk the V11 into a store? I’m choosing between mten3 and V11 as first wheel. However the only thing holding me back from V11 is ability to take your EUC into store in NY.
I go everywhere with all my eucs, I have gone to court cases and run errands for attorneys, I go into federal buildings put it up on the conveyor belt x ray machine and walk up like I run the program. The v11 is perfect for taking into stores and looks professional. Do your thing, the worlds falling apart this is the least of people's worries.
@@-racingfan2014 yea man, i take my helmet and just stick it on the handle that pops up and push it all together, keep my knee pads and gloves on usually or have a backpack to put all that stuff in. You get weird looks but they aren't looking at you they are just interested in the machine so don't feel like your bothering people, everyone wants to ride it. Cheers my friend and enjoy your new hobby!
Im worried about corrosion from compressing the water vapour in the air into water liquid. You should see the big puddle of water that comes out of a big air compressor when you unscrew the dump valve on the cylinder. Should fill these shocks with Nitrogen gas.

I think you've found a new niche... "Chooch's unicycle history lessons"... I'd genuinely watch more of those!
a tip : watch series on flixzone. Me and my gf have been using them for watching a lot of movies lately.
@Aaron Jayden Yea, been watching on flixzone for since november myself :D
We need another episode of Chooch and Chang!
I agree with this!

Great change of pace Chooch.

This is unbelievable, I'm very happy to know that the autonomy of the V11 is so high.
I so wish I lived there....Great ride and stunning scenery.
Man this video is wat made me buy 1. It's my 3rd wheel. It comes in on Tuesday and I'm going straight to the mountains
Best thing ever, I decided about two years ago to just spend more time like this away from the center of population. It's very nice.
How do you like it so far sir? Have you had the chance to check if the bearing not has some protection? Or if it was changed?
