He has a good twangy country voice but, unfortunately this is the new pop country, he has to keep up, every one wants to hear the fl ga line bullshit, only way he’ll make money is if he starts sounding like Bieber or Taylor shit
countrygirl countrymusiclover I think you misunderstood lol. I'm saying I like this song. More country artists should try to sing more like this and not so modern.
This is not keeping country music real. "Outskirts of Heaven" was keeping country real, but this is just another stupid checklist "country" song, co-written by Tyler Hubbard of FGL (not surprisingly!). I'm a millennial, and even I know this is a sorry excuse for country music.
Ha, ha, that explains it. This is just another dumb checklist so-called "country" song that we've been hearing for over 5 years now and thanks in large part to FGL. So, it's not surprising that Hubbard had his hand in this.
Beats trying to tell people why you're so 'country'(typical bro country formula), talking about KC lights, trying to be Mumford and Son, mixing in a hip hop beat, etc.
I have a lot of respect for Craig. But this song is very mediocre. It's not terrible, but it's not good either. It's just so, so, whatever, checklist "country." After a song like "Outskirts of Heaven," this is certainly a disappointment.
rockpaperscissors82 this song is pretty bad. I guess Craigs label told him he better start making some hits or hes done. This song isnt gonna go anywhere.
Yep, I have a hard time believing that Craig actually wanted to record this song. The problem is that, very predictably, the song has not gained any traction. A month and a half later, the video still only has 31k views and a measly 17 comments! That's terrible. At this rate, "Outskirts of Heaven" will have performed (sales, streams, views, etc.) far, far better. It's so dumb that labels take these artists and try to force them to compete with Thomas Rhett. The only result is that he alienates and disappoints his fan base, and the label will drop him anyway. The same happened with David Nail.
After more than three months, this has only 75k views and 22 comments. I hope that teaches Craig that he shouldn't betray his base with a dumb pop-country song written by Tyler Hubbard from Florida Georgia Line. I still can't believe that he went from "Outskirts of Heaven" to this sorry excuse for a country song.
I don't understand why a song like this gets so few views, the song is perfect 🥰💖 Greetings from Turkey🫶👋🇹🇷

When bar song after bar song keeps being made, it is NOT "keeping country real", in my honest opinion.
I really love your songs 😊❤👍
Craig Campbell 🤟
This song rocks 😊❤
Great song. Tyler Hubbard and the few others who wrote this song did great.
