Right maybe we could google it i think she was not understanding that when you do a how to vlog that when your not showing how to makes a bad vlog ...but maybe the socks shes making will be her next vlog 🤔 then again maybe not gl trying to figure it out hey google it I bet that will give a better how to 🤷♀️
excellent video explanation...it is so nice to see that people are looking for natural products to do diy projects...When I was 6 or 7 I discovered plants that gave different colors when I placed water and pressed the leafs with a rock...those days where the beginning of a diy maker.....
I tried this with eggs last Easter. But the red cabbage turned out blue, not pink. Wonder if it works on fabric differently. Would have been nice to see the final results on fabric. And one more question: how to make sure that the color in the dyed fabric doesn't wash out after washing it a few times. Doesn't it it need to be fixed/set somehow with a chemical?
I think she was debunking a video which had shown you could dye fabric using spinach because that actual method didn't work. As with many plants you probably could use spinach but you need the same amount by weight of dried plant material to fabric. You need to simmer the plant material in a pan for up to an hour to extract the dye. Then after straining out the plant material you need to simmer the fabric in the dye solution - after using a mordant on the fabric. Also you really need to use a mordant, as mentioned in the other video, to set the dye, otherwise over time it will wash out.

@@sherriek3476 you realize the over use of emojis shows that you’re over compensating, right? But how to set the colors? And what should the colors look like? Why no final products?
There definitely need to be more instructions and some final product shots!

Stephanie, that's an excellent point. Without using a mordant to set the dye colours will fade after each wash
I used to do this a lot, one of my favorite DIY projects.

Thank you ❤ I will use your advices for a class during my botanica course with kids at school in Amsterdam ❤️🔥

One part vinegar to 4 parts water boil one hour to set your dyes i just googled it yw 😉
@@sherriek3476 NICE! Thank you
I am so trying this. Love doing things like this and I already grow a lot of those veggies in my garden.
you can use less water and or boil it to steam most of the water and get a rich color....
To preserve for more time you can substitute 1 tsp water with 1 tsp of vinegar
That's what I was thinking👍
Very nice idea thank you 🌷🌷🌷
Hmm_ just using same as our ancestors did. Some things just NEVER get old, right people?✨🤗✨
Thank you for the tips.
Thanks for sharing 😊
The spinach dye doesn’t look like it’s strong enough to dye much of anything.
Wonderful
Would increasing the amount of cabbage but using the same amount of water increase the color intensity?
That seems like common sense,
❤️❤️❤️
Nice video
Why would the audience share their finals with you when you didn't share yours? Why didn't you show us your final products?
Didn't I see this exact thing debunked by Ann Reardon?
Why not link it?

Did she just refer to the food processor as a blender.???
Yup she did and she was using a 2 cup instead of a one cup so she put 4 cups of water no how to set it and no demo either bad vlog
