But how to set the colors? And what should the colors look like? Why no final products?

Stephanie, that's an excellent point. Without using a mordant to set the dye colours will fade after each wash

I tried this with eggs last Easter. But the red cabbage turned out blue, not pink. Wonder if it works on fabric differently. Would have been nice to see the final results on fabric. And one more question: how to make sure that the color in the dyed fabric doesn't wash out after washing it a few times. Doesn't it it need to be fixed/set somehow with a chemical?

To preserve for more time you can substitute 1 tsp water with 1 tsp of vinegar

The spinach dye doesn’t look like it’s strong enough to dye much of anything.

I think she was debunking a video which had shown you could dye fabric using spinach because that actual method didn't work. As with many plants you probably could use spinach but you need the same amount by weight of dried plant material to fabric. You need to simmer the plant material in a pan for up to an hour to extract the dye. Then after straining out the plant material you need to simmer the fabric in the dye solution - after using a mordant on the fabric. Also you really need to use a mordant, as mentioned in the other video, to set the dye, otherwise over time it will wash out.
