This was the greatest surprise... when Sana graduated, I didn't think we'd ever get an original song with all five of them, but dang, they did it! Absolutely fantastic! Happy Year Anniversary!

I was just thinking before they revealed this that Council didn't have a song like "Journey Like a Thousand Years". They do now! And it is amazing! Council is eternally five!
Listening to this, I was tempted to think Farhan was afoot again.
This kind of feels like when an anime you like gets a bigger budget for season 2 and the new OP song just gets you super hyped. It has a different charm from Journey Like a Thousand Years.
@@wisdumcube Yeah, that's a good way to describe it. I mostly meant my comment in a sense of an original song with all five that has meaning for the characters and the people behind them.
I respectfully disagree. People will always remember Council as 5. Plus, this song wouldn't feel complete without Sana.
@@collywop5 I feel the same way. Even if Sana may not be active anymore, she will always be a part of Council. Whether it be as an artist/designer (don't quote me on that though, remember hearing it somewhere I think), or just in our memories. As long as Council still puts her name in their descriptions, she is eternal.

I've listened to this like over 10 times already, and I keep finding layers and layers of musicianship here. Mumei has such a like alt-rock voice she starts the video so well, the mixture of Kronii's very very powerful voice with Mumei's softer but higher voice in her part sounds awesome. Bae really showing the strength of not only vocals but fast strength in hyping the song. Sana's double voice with the reverb on the second voice makes it stand out the most, the chorus together there are so many smaller details of how there layered whose voice is in front of whose and who has harmonies off to the side like Mumei towards the end. Fauna's soft ASMR voice under her own is haunting but shivers went down my spine. then to all culminate at the end with those strong notes, bae and Kronii powerful vocals, the softness of fauna, the high pitch of Mumei, and the perfect bow that is Sana's "eternity" makes this song simply....a BANGER.

I would say Kronii has a voice that is too powerful and hard to maintain the pitch. Her voice is very full, not airy (if that's even the correct term) and most songs that she sang did not require this much power.
I think the only flaw here was Bae's art.
They made her too tall.

I swear the Stage rumbled when they sang this.
I don't know why, but anything I see with Sana included just hits me right in the feels. Every graduation from Hololive is a mixture of smiles and tears, but Sana's in particular was just one that... maybe because it was so unexpected... It feels like there's just a piece missing now. So seeing her included in content in basically any form just feels like a knife getting twisted just a little bit, in that her journey felt like it was only at its beginning and it was cut short.
We needn't have worried. Council got their 5 person original song, and it's an absolute bop.

Sana singing “For Eternity” as the very last lyric couldn’t be a better fitting to an already perfect song that captures the spirit of Council. An absolute banger that adds only the slightest tinge of melancholy at the very end, but a little bittersweet only makes the sweetness of this song all the more palatable. Council forever ❤️💛💚💙🤎

Oh my goodness, it feels so right, Sana making her last(?) appearance(😢), Bae being the driving chaotic energy, Kronii with her strong deep voice, Fauna's sweet soft voice, and then Mumei harmonizing and holding the music together... each of you really had a strong presence! Good job, y'all.
This song does a great job at emphasizing the uniqueness of the individual talents as well as their voices because it sounds like they so carefully chose who sang where. I appreciate the creativity in this because it sounds cooler in this case than just having them all sing the same part for a vast majority of the song. Because of this it also sounds a lot more impactful when all of them come together at parts. Not to mention they all sounded great in general and you can tell they each put a lot of effort into this. Thank you.

I absolutely love the bridge of this song. Choosing Fauna and her soft-yet-ominous voice was the perfect choice, and the other four following up is so good especially the switching between high and low voices.
If this is performed in a live concert one day, I can imagine that IRyS will replace Sana. However, for the last line "for eternity", they will retain Sana's voice to close it off. Emotionally epic.

Mumei is honestly such a good singer, she is one of the biggest hidden gems in hololive because she only unleashes her full power in unarchived karaokes. I think even most of her official songs don't really showcase her talents effectively just because of the genre and production. Check out her defying gravity cover from her unarchived birthday karaoke, that still lives rent free in my head
The top singers of hololive are: AZKi, Ayame, Risu, Gura, Mumei. Suisei too but Sui already maxed out her potential.
While those girls above still not yet maxed out their potential.
AZKi can still train herself to be more powerful, Ayame to be more consistent and deeper, Risu better she use her deep Ayunda voice and train more at the power and stability. Gura also about power n stability. Mumei is about stability and confidence. Power too but Mumei's voice not suitable for powerful voice, maybe? Except if it's like "satisfied" song and taylor swift songs.
Sui cant train more. All she can train is just the pronunciation of English words.
The reason i follow Mumei because her voice. And also her goofy character. Like Ayame. And if in the new generations there is a member or two that like ayame n mumei, I'll follow them too

Hope Hololive seriously want to expand their business. Truly want to try the game n animation world. they can. they have the materials. Hololive Earth story gonna be good. As long as it's not filled with some happy girly stuff thing. Need to add some conflicts too! some gore too!. but they need to make enemies for that. either from some holomems or make a new enemy group(s). HoloX there for example, good to be one of villains.
edit: but, for their game n animation, please dont overprice it like their idol merchandise. to make it more accessible for many fans.
@@DBT1007 They have the whole Hololive Alternative thing as well as Hololive Error I believe it's called which hint at them dipping their toes into animation and video games. I wouldn't worry much on the price of either since games are known to be a set price and that would be hard to change and anime is free unless we have to pay for a Hololive subscription service and or you want to buy like Blu Rays or something.

This made me cry; and for a person like me crying is rare.
Staying together no matter the hardships, drawing strength from the times spend together to break out of limitations set to reach ones full potential.
That theme can be found it both the lyrics as well as the vocals. The melody itself is already driving the song on quite a bit but as soon as another voice joins in the effect is being amplified even more. But that is not stopping the vocals from breaking and go beyond even that.
It's an important message that is being carried here but also a very cute one.
