Awesome tutorial. One question, is it possible to detach the TFT matrix panel from the LCD and RGB color filter matrix? maybe using a heat gun or any chemical. I need to work with the TFT panel for a project. Thank you!
Hi, will the monitor display normally if we remove the sticker-type black film behind the front LCD panel? My monitor's film has shaded and there is some kind of white ghost coating where this film has shaded out it's color.
I would like to renew the Polarizer film on my 27 "Asus PG278Q, now I have seen that there are three versions, once with 0 degrees / once with 45 degrees and once with 90 degrees. What do the various degrees numbers mean, can I use all of these polarizer films, or do I need a certain degree number for my monitor? Thank you in advance!
hi what is that layer called the one at 4:38 that reflective and some board connected to it? that the one that produce image right? i want to make like ibuypower's pc case side windows. or can you supply with with that layer? i want to make my own products and sell it but i can't do it myself as my hand aren't steady and i don't have the patient to do that.
Did you ever find a proper polarizer for your SLA printer? My Elegoo Saturn printer has a scratch on it which is causing failed prints. I believe it's just the polarizer that's damaged, so I was wondering what spec of polarizer I could replace.
Hey have some sort of plastic cover on the screen of my Sony Bravia 2015 model, it turns out that some ugly lines appeared on my tv and it was that plastic, I'm removing the plastic now and it seems that it has no effect in the image but a really strong smell is coming out, it smells like burned plastic or something. Is it dangerous or do you guys know anything about it?
are polarizer all same??? i have macbook retina with damage back polarizer, i found in online store just for led tv polarizer.., if i cut that polarizer into my macbook, is it same?? will it affected the resolution?
Hi, From where did you buy the uv grade polarizer, please help us. My brother and there friends doing collage project on LCD 3d printer. It's great help if you share the details.
I tried many polarizers, some actually works but the contrast is not stellar so I'm still looking. You can find some in China, just be sure the thickness is under 0.1mm
1:30 is kind of interesting; you (working on a computer) could wear polarizing glasses, and everyone else in the room (without polarizing glasses) wouldn't be able to see what is displayed on your screen!
This is an old comment, I know. But sometimes the glue that holds the polarizer in place would start to degrade and "bubble up" and you're gonna want to replace the film instead of buying a new monitor.
@@karloshebron7614 which is just what happened to my 13 yr old viewsonic - which is what led me here - wonder if it's worth changing it... or if that's gonna cost as much as getting a new monitor XD (which i already got anyway XD) facebook.com/SuperReubs/posts/10157343081347407
😅😂OMG THIS WORKS!!!! I JUST USED MY SCRUBY FROM MY SHOWER IT HAS A SUCKER CUP ON THE ROPE AND I SUCKED THE ANT FLY OUT WITH IT, 😂LOL WELL IT PULLS THE SCREEN OVER IT AND ITS WEIRD but it works idk where the bug go's but fuck that thing 😮😂
I have tried this shit dozens of times and every time all I get is broken glass and small fragments of film. What screens are these people using because it's insane to see people constantly pulling these off with no problem yet heat, solvents you name it simply results is headaches and little else
Why do all you lcd sla builders go dark mid 2017? Are you being intimidated by men in black? Has big oil/tobacco bought you out? Will i disappear if i invent a resin printer too?

Is that the polarized film used in LCD TV Screen same as in LCD Laptop and LCD computer monitors?
Technically yes, except each size have different polarizer design

that would be the LCD itself, yes
The glass surface of the LCD, there are two model available in the market, one that is glossy, the other matte

What Type polrize use?
Any updates on this?
I'm really interested in making a 3D printer myself! ^^
Sir. Wanna repaired my GPS QVGA Display which types of polarization film should be used?
There is no way to take advantage of this for a burned out multimeter screen? How to glue?
May i know where do you get new polarize?
From where I can get polarising film?
Where to buy polarized sticker film?
Awesome video! And awesome find on that particular screen... good luck finding an alternate polarizer.
Have you begun work on the sla printer?

When it is needed to remouver polarized film? For to fix a problem of the brightness?
Brightness problem is not related to polarizer, but more with the backlight, backlight are designed to have 12 thousands hours of life
@@royjao1738 it's not fixable but only to change the lcd fixes the problem the ghost and brightness ? No to solder?
Ok. But how can we put the new polarizer ?
You need to clean the surface then affix a new polarizer film

how far are you with your DLP printer (not SLA)
have you found a polariser that functioned but not blocks UV too much?
which driver board do you use for this lcd? and what is the status of SLA project now?
control board is in the video description! I'm having some troubles with the polarizers, but it kinda-sorta works :)
Driver board differ from each resolution, but basically it can work across the board
15BHAN12.1?
Share with us, which angle nof polariser u using for repair?
I believe they were 90deg, but I recently converted to monochrome screens that are much better.
@@matt3o oh ok, I saw aliexpress stating front screen as zero angle, so actually is back.
Nice ! Please tell us this is stillworking after polarizer removal ? can you see something on display ?
Yes, the screen still works. I tested it by applying two spare polarizers and backlighting with a LED torch :) Everything is still there!
are polarizer all same???

Don't know about the resolution, but all the polarizers are same.
Resolution are embedded on the glass itself, polarizer are additional film added

I done this, following your tutorial exactly and now my £500 monitor does not work at all 🙂

what did you expect? The polarizer is needed to display the image.
