You literally have some of THE best T&L guide out. Even tho, I’ve been playing since day one, I clicked on the video and learned something new. It’s the attention to details for me like for example breaking down what traits come with said armor/weapon items and then you actually take the time to present it on screen. I appreciate stuff like that bc it saves people like me (the viewer) time. With that said, I’m always looking out for your guides. Great job.
I've understood everything in your Trait video. I clicked on it to see what else you've got to say - your content is very well constructed and immensly helpful.
Morrolan is the channel I went to when playing BDO. His videos helped me out a lot, when first delving into BDO back in the day. Good channel to go to for understanding TnL.
Your guides are the best out there for this game, I have been able to save a lot of lucent upgrading just from applying things I have seen you mention here and there on your stream (“juicing” items with max traited blues) but I’m sure there is still stuff I don’t know. Looking forward to part 2
Thanks for doing this. I've been avoiding traiting and selling them because it is so daunting, but with the help of your guide I leveled my first trait on an epic piece I plan no keeping. What still drives me nuts is I get drops but can't sell them, having to lithograph an item and then craft it, praying for a quality item, and then being able to sell them is OVER-KILL imho and sorta kills the whole auction house for me. Harvesting meat from Boars and Wolves is absolutely horrendous. Waiting for it to rain so you can farm a few haunches of meat is absolutely ridiculous. If you also want to enter sanctum of desire or hunt for bait, you're kinda screwed. Thanks for the guide.
Are you saying the trait system is convoluted? Why yes, I did click on this video for a reason and I thank you greatly for your work. Seriously, you're a godsend.
Oh dude, it's been years! I used to watch your stuff for BDo back from launch to post lahn or mystic. think striker was out too. Anyway, THANK YOU FOR THE GUIDE!!!
Most precise and complete explanation I've seen. I wish this existed before I had to scour through and glue information from 10 different incomplete guides to learn all this. About the upgrading strategy, I asked chatgpt whether it's better to upgrade with purple or blue and he said it's definitely better to feed blue until your blessed upgrade chance is 70%, then use that blessing. It ended up saving me like 40% lucent compared to using purple. Curious about your calculator. Stats math video next?
Hmm I think ChatGPT might have been hallucinating a bit. Every blue fail would be equally valuable to every other blue fail, there's no magic % to aim for. The most direct way to compare blue to purple is to multiply the blue by 5.5 and see if it's less than the cost of 1 purple. All that math will be explained in part 2 tomorrow afternoon
One note in regards to Resistances: Bind resistance is probably the best one to stack. Dagger is pretty much the default PvP weapon choice and the best support weapon. ALL the meta PvP builds run Daggers: Xbow/Dagger, Bow/Dagger, Staff/Dagger, GS/Dagger. Shadow Strike is one of the most important skills for Dagger builds as it enables them to actually get their combos off, ESPECIALY for GS/Dagger. It is even useful for and against Ranged builds because when you use Shadow Strike you teleport BEHIND the opponent and Bind them, and they cannot turn to you, meaning they cannot actually use skills vs you even if they are not actually stunned. Resisting that one skill can often ruin their entire opener. The next best is Stun resistance. Even when using skills that apply Collision, the ACTUAL CC that gets you is the Stun, if they run you into a wall, not the Collision. Aside from that, there are skills that directly apply Stun, GS most notably. Collision resistance is the third best.
Thanks for the guide brother. Im currently saving to get a bis armor piece that drops from Juno. Do you think im making a mistake by saving 7K and currently stop gapped at around 2.7K with 2/3 full weapon traits? Id really appreciate some insight
The longer you wait, the cheaper everything gets, so I think it's just a matter of how patient you are. If you're at 2700 you probably still have a couple pieces that could be traited super cheap
it all makes sense now! the conversion stones thingy doesn’t pop up under the item when unlocking traits.. what am I doing wrong? I have more than enough stones but can’t unlock any new trait on any purple weapon
Are you trying to unlock or convert? You can only convert by selecting a trait that already is unlocked. To unlock you would select a trait line that is still locked.
Hi, sorry I may have missed it, but I understand that you would need the same piece slot to upgrade a trait (body with body, arms with arms, etc.), but would you need the same tier to upgrade a trait? So like purple with purple, blue with blue, etc. ?
thank you kind sir ! firstly ,please replace those headphones ,it's so distracting bro ! 🤣 I agree with the part of endurance/evasion buuuuttt you kinda miss the part where evasion can complete evade an attack ,not just dmg.Meaning stuns, binds, etc
If you convert a junk trait does it keep the levels? I was wondering if it was worth maxing out a junk trait then converting it to the one I want with conversion stones.
I haven't tried doing it on sellable items - I suspect it would bind them to your character though, and you'd have to use trait extraction instead if you wanted to sell
Yea I'm sick of not getting enough traits thanks for this video if you can explain greatly the ways they even let u get some trait u lock there still not enough and stupid
A bit side question. I get some gear which is avalable for level transfer. But then after I wear it for some time, level transfer becomes unavailable. Why is that? It is pity... all the maxed out gear I am using now is unavailable for the transfer.
You have to unequip it to transfer it. And then when transferring, you have to select the piece you are transferring TO, not the one you are transferring from
@@MorrolanTV I discovered the issue. The second day in game i made a second gear preset and forgot about it. So yes, of course i unequipped it, but not everywhere, damn it!

@@kylethemen6153 Traits start at level 1. If you try to upgrade it, it will either go to level 2 (success) or gain Blessing (fail). I think either one of these will prevent the item from getting extracted. Or if you've put Growthstones into the item to level the item itself to +1, +2, etc. this probably also prevents trait extraction
what i dont understand is the stats, so many tank/melee dps build having range enduranced stats, but why ? i thought range endurance for range weapon/class ?? no ? i wish more youtuber having explanation about stats work in this game. 2nd question, if my gear fully traited. i want to switch the trait, all i can do is rolling trait?? cant just put another trait to the gear?
Do they have to be not upgraded at all to take a trait from gear? I upgraded the trait first and have 2 of the same pieces of gear and it won’t let me transfer a trait from one to the other?
@ I’m going to try again with some non upgraded gear. But I’m trying to take a fully upgraded trait on a blue piece of gear and put it onto another blue piece of gear that is fully upgraded and also has a trait fully upgraded. They are the same boots but doesn’t show up as material to make the transfer. They’re unequipped too
By a little bit of endurance will help you, you must clarify that you need more endurance than the enemy players crit chance. Which most people have (?) 500-800 crit chance. Some high hit/evasion builds may have slightly lower. So you in fact need to beat their crit chance #(value) with your endurance value for it to even start getting results. It’s not a flat % reduction.
The reason endurance is nice, is because it’s T1 and most giggachads and running 1500+ evasion and 1k++ hit chance, (high perception) which results in inherently low crit chance (500-800) which allows endurance to sort become effective against giggachads. If you have say 500 endurance only, definitely not useful. You’d want around 1k-1.2k to make it noticeable. Which is a lot better than 1500-1700 evasion gear for newer players.
You don't need to beat your opponent's critical score. Beating your opponent's crit score is only if you want to inflict glancing blows. Every point of endurance is useful to reduce enemy crits, even if your opponent has higher stats than you.
BRO nooo. You shouldnt have converted Max Mana from your morokai greatsword. That just proves that you dont understand how to use fully use the blessing system. What you should have done is buy like 40 blue weapon traits with max mana(or the cheapest trait your weapon has unlocked, if possible) and then fail upgrading as much as you can. Then use all that blessing to buy blue traits from the most expensive trait that you are gonna use and use it there. You can save like 1500 lucent for EACH fully upgraded expensive trait. You could have also used that wildkind damage to get more bleesing for so cheap. Pretty sure thats the cheapest available for weapons, and bonus damage to undead. It is okay to gamble a bit but try to be efficient with your lucent, not everyone has that much money lol. And for the rest of the video 10/10. I will look the part 2 too!

I did the trait mistake early today piss me off rage quit I grinded hard for those stones almost made me quit the game but I refuse but I'm hopeful for the Halloween event there will be unlock stones at a vender once a week
I thought you needed full items to unlock traits, but you only need the extract, well that does change everything holy moly. That means I can pretty much max my blue gear now, because the traits only cost 10 lucent each.
All you’re doing is trying to build blessing. Why wouldn’t you just use your your contract coins to buy the quality whatever lithograph and make a bunch of that item and feed it to get your blessing up I mean, if you do that you don’t have to spend any lucent
